A lot of enthusiasts dont recommend this at all. Too close to the engine so it's just sucking in hot hair. The oem filter has a better cold air intake

That's true but the sound of the blow off is worth it to me hahahah. You barely feel any power loss and you have more smiles per gallon. I may be switching to another better intake soon though.

@@RichardCuico Get a muffler delete for the turbo to hear it louder and a go fast bits blow off valve and it will sound way louder and you won’t need that intake. That way u can have cooler air. And also those two things cost $400

Bro u way over paid for this intake. I’m very familiar with BMs and they are good but u could’ve just got yourself a eBay or Amazon filter for way less and it would’ve done the same. Also suggest to reroute it towards the from. Which is possible. But if u want to get rid of the lag get an intercooler a blow off valve an ecu tune a tcu tune and an exhaust setup. You’ll feel the difference. Big difference. Even with a pedal comander and that’ll help out too. I love the w204 models. I’ve had a c300 for years and it’s fully modded. Trust me dude. U do those things I mentioned and you will feel the difference

Wont the intake grab more hot air from the engine bay, since the air filter is out in the open and not covered? I understand its still getting most of the air from the front, but seems like the stock setup was better for cold air than this. Thoughts? I have the same car and tbh this is the worst mod for the car because it is soaking up hot hair and not “cold air” in my opinion I would go with an intake from a company called modalworks but if it’s to pricey I would recommend go with a company called tornado tuning which is like this intake but it comes with a heat shield hope this helps and keep up the good work.

get a tune... me ECU is going to confuse the timing. due to extra hot air. also put back the air box cover. you can make it fit. more hot air is going in the engine. you kind of lost like 4HP but 1 or 2HP by repairing intake from intercooler. you can use open box on cold days. but hot and dusty. Your ECU vents will clog and have warm hot temps. MB put the ECU there because it was getting too warm in it previous locations. A Mercedes Benz is basically a over engineered Honda. awesome keep content coming. beautiful ride. Mercedes oil and Motul only for fluids. great vlog guy.

Nice ! , i had one of those but i went to a autozone and bought a exhaust repair kit which is pretty much a piece of aluminum sheet and i placed it in between the intake and engine to help with the heat soak and it helped alot !

bro you cant leave just opened air filter, it sucks hot air and you peak power is reduced (believe me, go dyno and u will see like -5 hp lost ;) ), but glad to hear it increase your throttle response.

First of all, you just made it a hot air intake. And secondly, the mechanic I have for my car told me to NEVER use the K&N filters on Mercedes as the oil that comes in from the filter may contaminate the MAF or O2 sensors. K&N says this is a myth, but I've seen it first hand. They over oil these filters from factory and they do not stop as much dirt as other filters. I stopped using K&N years ago.

The car has a lag cause the turbo on those cars are made so cheap. Buy the OEM Mahale turbo and u will love it. It’s like $1300

@@RichardCuico yo you and I have the SAME EXACT car to a T 😂 same color, same wheels, same year, same motor, same EVERYTHING! Did you ever have the issue where you would rev the motor or stomp the gas ALMOST to the floor & your CPU would block all the power to the vehicle to the point where you could barely accelerate and only get up to about 50mph until you turn the car off for like 5 minutes and start it again ? It pretty much goes into limp mode to protect the motor for no reason and I have no idea why

@@TH3_D3ADLY_DILF. mine does that only when the car has been started up and not properly warmed up. But as you stated, after turning it off for a few minutes or for the evening the lights gone. I let my lil spaceship warm up for 8-10 mins before I hit the road.

You should've left the airbox without the filter in it. Then replaced that air tube with the ripples in it so the filter can go toward the front of the car to catch colder air. You just wasted your time by making the car sound cool & let hot air get sucked into the engine. Otherwise, good video.

Have you owned this car? I do and I have the push start button. You can also start the car by using the key. If you turn the key and release it before the car has started it will not start, hence why he turned the key until the car had turned on. You can “tap” the key so the motor cranks if you wanted to work on the timing belt or if you wanted to check the pressure in a cylinder. I appreciate your comment though.

And now you have hoy air into a turbocharged engine (less power) and you will loose the air positive pressure at high speed from the original air intake.......maybe good sound, but less power.
