This was initially filmed in black and white, which I have seen, but I felt the colour did not improve the movie. As an old sailor, I felt this was a movie to be watched from the 1930s.

I read the book by the great Jack London . But as for this film, as soon as that woman crossed the deck in 1930s garb and high heeled shoes , it was time to switch off !

@@oddsteinardybvad-raneng No self respecting captain or crew member would allow a woman to walk across a deck in high heel shoes. It does terrible damage to the teak decks.
