I had both the Mi Band 2 and 3 in the past and I am currently using the Amazfit Bip. The bigger, transflective screen is amazing. And the month and a half battery life (which is surprisingly not bullshit) makes me forgive the stupid charging cradle. I was tempted to buy the Mi Band 4 but for my use case I saw it as a downgrade rather than an upgrade.

Lol. Pair a chest strap to your apple watch, then you'll see just how bad those HR readings are. All smartwatches are so inaccurate they are actually a health hazard. Polar have been at this game for years and even this watch still recommends you use a chest strap for accurate HR readings. Yup, even with all those sensors it's still not accurate, but it's way more accurate than apple. If you're serious about fitness you use polar. If you like toys you buy apple.

@@torresalxndr Smart watches suffer from a horrendous battery life, usually have iffy heart rate monitors, do not provide accurate activity meters, do not calculate running index, most of the time require a phone to operate, don't have GLONAS and GPS services (both of them), don't track sleep, don't track muscle recovery, don't make dedicated training plans based on your fitness status, don't make decently accurate estimates on how fast you'll run let's say 5km based on your recent training, and the list goes on on what they can't do, and this watch can. This watch isn't for smart watch people, it's for people who want to train and track their lifestyle.

I just sold my Apple Watch 4 and bought the vantage v. Loved the Apple Watch, had them all. But the late serious I got into my fitness the more it didn’t make sense. Apple Watch Pros, it’s sleek, refined and fast, tones of apps, voice calls, music storage.. cons, it’s not a serious fitness tracker, battery life. A lot of people in the comments forget this is a sports watch focused on athletes. Watch the Olympics or any other high level sporting event and you will see pro athletes with polar watches. A lot of endurance athletes use them. Polar offers also training programs and software tracking your recovery. So if you're looking for just a simple activity tracker or smart watch, than this is not your watch.

It tracks your workouts and calorie burn very well also but takes it to a whole different level! It runs $800 dollars but worth checking out!! Vantage V and V-Titan are top sports watches from Polar. They are amazing training/racing tools for serious into sports. The M model does not have audible notifications and also misses Barometer and Thermometer and costs around 300€ and yes they all have fantastic battery life and track activities (gps and everything) for up to 40 hours straight but I really don't see a point of someone buying this unless he/she is using it in sports. There is also a new model from Polar (Ignite) around 200€ that is more suitable for the majority and also supports adaptive training. Go see reviews from dcrainmaker and others...

Thank you for your review. I have the "normal" Vantage V (not Titanium) the difference is only 7 grams in weight, hardware is the same. It cost me only 302 Euros (335 USD).

Not saying it doesn’t have great features, Cap. The price is ridiculous, I could care less what features it has when it’s double the price of the overpriced Apple Watch lol. You can get a good heart rate monitor for $50 and anything else this one does can be replaced for a lot less. If they cut that cost in half it’s reasonable for what it does.

I can agree with that, Drained, I used to sell fitness equipment and I know there’s a small group of people that would swear by this. My only point is that $700 is too high an asking price for what it does, you can replicate everything fitness-related this watch offers for far less.

Exaclty. The ui on the samsung is better, there are plenty of apps and watch faces, there are 3g/lte versions, it's got nfc, sound & vibrations, changeable bands, it's waterproof, it has gorilla glass on the screen and an amoled display, battery lasts 4 days on the 46mm version, and you can interact with it with touch, buttons, and the ring around the screen. It doesn't seem to have any problems with tracking my activities (it's gotten way better since launch), or measuring my pulse, you can even answer calls on it.

Yeah, but your Galaxy Watch is not going to generate anywhere near the quality of data these are (or even be able to generate it in the first place). Samsung watches are very sleek and pretty great as smartwatches, but their fitness accuracy is absolutely rubbish. You could not train well with the data they give you.

​@@tams805 i actually use it to exercise as well - i'm using it to track data during crunches, Standing Dumbbell Curls, Seated Dumbbell Presses, and on my 30km bicycle runs (no smartwatch can really track push-ups since the hand is not moving during that exercise, so i'm doing that without the watch), and nowadays the galaxy watch is pretty good with these tasks. I'll agree that it wasn't great when the watch launched - there were times when it wouldn't register some reps, or sometimes i had to reboot the watch cause it wasn't registering any movements at all for some reason, but it's much better after updates. There's a bit more leeway in the motions that are being trakced now, too. I'm doing 2 sets of 300 crunches, for instance, and it will detect all of them, other exercises fair well too. I like how samsung health app tracks all the data, too, especially the bicycle runs - there's all kinds of bpm, speed, and time data, but there's also a map, it breaks it into stages, etc.

Polor M600 is the best smart watch as it is Fitness to the next level with Android Wear OS integrated. Only issue is it has a squared interface not round. I totally Recommend it!

I still feel MI Smart watches are way way more cheaper and has practically everything you need.... Heart rate, Sleep Analysis, On Watch Training, Weather, On Watch Trademill, Cycling, Notification with Vibrations, Locate your Phone, Etc. Hope you try the New MI3 Soon when were you get it....

Video idea suggestion. Top smart active watches? Or Review on more affordable smart active watches? Samsung, Fitbit, and etc. I suggest since my Fitbit Charge 2 just gave out and I am looking into purchasing a new one. But, there are so many smart watches out there I don't know where to start.
