On August 25th 1989, a passenger plane belonging to Pakistan International Airlines departed from the Northern Town of Gilgit. Less than ten minutes later, it disappeared never to be seen again.
No wreckage has ever been found and presumably all 54 people on board the aircraft were killed.

I gotta call you out for mischaracterizing the Erubus thing. Flight crew didn't mess that up-- it was whiteout conditions but their navpoints had been TAMPERED WITH by a coked out ground tech in the middle of the night literally hours before the flight-- at the INSTRUCTION of airline executives--- and no one ever told the crew. They said their wealthy customers had complained they couldn't get a good enough view of the mountain. And boy, did they over-correct for that....

Can confirm -- I too have autism and am similarly gripped by content like this. For a while I figured it was rather macabre to derive any amount of enjoyment from things like this; but the mechanics behind the crashes, the disappearances, and other involuntary departures from predetermined trajectories; not to mention the human factors exacerbated by them -- is just too intriguing for me to ignore.

If an aircraft impacts fast enough in the right angle, there is not much to see in terms of wreckage. A shallow crater with very small pieces of debris is all you can find. If the terrain is mountainous or a forest, it can be almost impossible to spot the point of impact from the air. Many planes have gone missing and have never been found that way.

I've been binging this channel for a couple of weeks, which is weird because I have anxiety when it comes to riding airplanes. But your objective, easy-to-understand explanations (even for me who doesn't know anything about planes!), the laying out of facts without too much drama, and the clear narration is almost cathartic and actually make me feel less anxious about riding planes. Maybe because I am learning about how these things work and what can go wrong with them (and how often that happens). So thank you so much for making and regularly updating this channel! I'm patiently waiting for more 'disaster averted' ones, though ^^;;

I highly doubt the shootdown theory, it's too far of a distance for that plane to travel in that time and remain undetected and out of radio contact. However, I find the most likely theory to be that it went off course due to pilot error and crashed in an area, probably an area so unlikely that nobody thought to check there.

I imagine there have been quite a few, in the days when a search simply wasn’t practical because the technology it would have needed to even think about searching just wasn’t there. After all, how many years did it take to find the Titanic? Also the expense - not every country could afford to spend millions of pounds/dollars/euros etc trying to find a plane, which in any case would no doubt be smaller than MH370. There’s also a plane that’s disappeared and nobody knows if it even crashed or not and if it did, whether it’s in the sea or on land. That’s an interesting story. I’m sorry, I should be giving links to these, but I can’t remember enough about the videos to look without spending hours.

Mh370 was found. It was the plane at the mh17 crash site. But mh17 is the real missing plane. It sounds crazy. But I really can't explain it all here. Dig and you shall find. There's a video of the crash site uncensored and most are adult and Asian. Mh17 was half child and almost no Asians. The planes were almost identical. There's a lot more too. The lady that filmed the crash site(a researcher) said it smelled like chemicals used to keep bodies from decomposing.

On the way back the flight, now Pk-604 took a slight detour. The Captain, an avid hiker, flew from the left of Nanga Parbat to see some trails. He did not know that he had crossed over to the Indian side of the Line Of Control, which is not a standard border, over Kel Sector, one of the hottest sectors along the LOC. At that point the aircraft was below 15,000 feet flying between mountains higher than that. The Indian Army saw the plane and shot it down. This is a daily flight since decades now. There was no reason to shoot it down though. This was a slow speed passenger aircraft which was seen daily by the armies of both sides thrice a day. The reason why the wreckage was never found is because it was not on the Pakistani side of the LOC. All flying in this region till the aircraft reaches the area of Mansehra is visual. In the cockpit, we used to get All India Radio instead of the ATC communication for about 20 mins out of the 50 mins flight.

3 years later I think we have the answer. Someone who must remain unanimous tried to use modern drones to take photographs of the location and trek to the mountains himself to investigate. Shortly after arrival, and a discovery he was summoned to someone or organization. The drone and drivers were kept and he was reimbursed and told he doesn't have the blessings to investigate. Up until 2018 there was some debris left which is now seemingly gone. Context would help here, the time of incident was really important to how they acted, during this time PM the first female head of state was overthrown creating pressure. Something to note the person who told this maybe authentic but he never claimed that who did that, who actually took down, was it the neighbors or maybe themselves.

Pakistan Airline has massively improved safety after 2000. EMIRATES AIRLINE was established by Pakistan Airlines in late nineties and early 2000s.

You got a lot wrong. First, it was created in the 1980s. And it was actually created by the royal family of Dubai. Pakistan provided assistance and leased two airliners to them, but the family also got two 727s themselves. So it's been established and run by one of the six ruling families of UAE. So... it'd be like if England didn't have an airline and the Queen decided to create one with her money, and France gave them some help, and leased (for money) two of their own airliners to them. And then the Queen added two more and the airline began.

And PIA has been banned from flying to the US or Europe (or the airspace) for some time now. A quarter of all Pakistan's pilots had fake licenses - out of 860 pilots in Pakistan, 262 had fake ones. And many of the pilots (real or not) were PIA pilots.

Although a small private plane the Bass Straight disappearing from the late 1970's or early 80's is a very intriguing one.In accounts I've read, which doesn't mean they are correct,the flyer claimed a huge object had intercepted his plane somewhere between Melbourne and Tasmania.

The MH370 case was not a mystery. It was a cover up. The pilot depressurized the cabin, killed all the passengers, and went on a suicidal joyride. I know that makes me sound kind of like a conspiracy nut, but there is actually very strong evidence of this, and in fact he did a "dry run" in a flight simulator (which kept a record of it).

One issue with the flight simulator, the logged plane locations could have been from any session. There is no way to tell when each occurred. You can argue that it's the most plausible option, but the data itself does not say if they were all from the same session or not.

@thebirdee I suspect it goes way further than simply an incompetent pilot. Remember last year right after PIA 8303 went down (for among other things attempting a go around after attempting to land with the wheels still up) the EASA barred PIA and any Pakistani certified pilots from European airspace. They had found that somewhere northwards of 30% of pilots credentialed in and by Pakistan were fraudulent. Fake pilots licenses. Fake training and education histories. Fake training records etc. Because there is nothing that elevates your nation on the world stage quite like self taught airline pilots.
