What size jet are you running on that 30mm carb and how good does it pull??? Looking forward for the top speed run
@TheViolatorinator Жыл бұрын
Have you considered a cylinder head temperature gauge? I got the Trail Tech 742-ET2 TTO w/12mm spark plug sender and only downside is the wire is a little short and to fit the sender I had to notch a fin in the head at about 5 o clock (if you're looking at the plug well from the side). It's a bit of a hassle to get a dremel/die grinder in there and do it. I saw a decent drop in head temp from ~380F to ~325F switching from stock untouched carb to nibbi PE30 carb (also not tuned aside from idle speed and idle mix but it runs pretty well) and the style of exhaust you show on the table here.

Dude! Try out some cams too? I got a regrinded cam with 7mm lift, and a pair or roller type cam followers. Its an awesome upgrade too! Roller type cam followers will just roll on the cam unlike the stock ones that looked like slades.

I need to hit 75 mph for turnpike to get off-road what’s best upgrade for that
@sssss87002 жыл бұрын
What’s the general consensus regarding the reliability of the 300 kit? I remember reading somewhere about some kits that used to be on the market that took it to a true 250 but at the cost of being easy to overheat and significantly reduced longevity. Oil cooler has to help with that but I haven’t found much online and I’d like to learn more about it before I’d consider trying it.
@mototaco66032 жыл бұрын
Ive put like 50 miles on it, bigger jug same heat displacement. I cant help but feel like theres no decreased longevity but it hasnt been time tested. From a mechanical standpoint i cant see why it would decrease longevity besides maybe putting the valves under a bit more stress. Only time will tell
@Jboost4122 жыл бұрын
Overall the engine’s reliability was not affected by changing the displacement from a 229cc up to a 250cc engine we tested these for a pretty long time before recommending them as a upgrade

@mototaco66032 жыл бұрын
it sounds like your starter relay trying to close the circuit. its just a small electromagnet that closes the circuit between your battery and your engine starter. these parts are so cheap they can break at a moments notice even if brand new. its like 10cents for the manufacturer to make and $8 to have one shipped to you brand new. i have a video on how you can replace it. have you also just tried manually kickstarting the bike? heres the link kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKjZeGCFpbZ4aqs&ab_channel=MotoTaco
