@@tovrobi5097Well, in the Roman times, the concept of establishing schools on very large ships was conceived. This system, dubbed the “school-ship,” continued for centuries, and - after the opening of Japan in the late 19th century - Japanese school ships also began operation, under the guidance of European investors and advisors. These Japanese schools and ships differed depending on the nationality of their European investors; St. Gloriana, for example, was founded under British representatives. Pravda was founded by Russian Bolsheviks in exile, and so on. (This is the genuine lore, btw.)

Steamrolled may be an exaggeration but but all accounts Poland was actually holding out against the German invasion very well for the first couple weeks. And just a decade earlier they successfully defeated a much larger Soviet invasion, the Poles had combat experience and were pretty damn good fighters in 1939. Idk if they would've "won" necessarily, but without Soviet intervention they may have been able to hold out long enough for France and Britain to organize a counterattack into western Germany that would've forced Germany to withdraw their forces. In fact that was something HItler was extremely worried about during the Polish invasion, it was taking too long and he was watching an army build up on his western border when nearly his entire army was in the east.

Well that part had a teeny tiny element of truth. Poland and I think Hungary at least initially participated with Germany when they carved off parts of Czechoslovakia in 1938. Of course he takes that tiny truth and turns it into complete BS about later events in WW2. His entire speech was like that. Conflating a small fact or reasonable take on something small and trivial into something much bigger and important that has stood for centuries unchanged, at least in his mind.

As someone who is an American, born in Southern California, lives in Central Oregon, went to Bible college for 4 years, and thus extremely conservative politically, I loved this video. What has annoyed me to no end is that nobody on the conservative side has questioned Putin’s recollection of history or thought “hmmm, he might be lying “. I am just an average blue collar guy. I work a job that sucks but I bought a house with it so it I’ll give it that. I remember I had a dorm mate who was pretty upset when Russia invaded Crimea. All of that to say while I’m still gonna take all political news with a grain of salt, I hope Ukraine wins. Slava Ukraine, even though I don’t even have any nation flags on my property. Thanks guys!

Pre war Russia had a full military strength of around 1.1 million active duty. Of that, the Army and Naval infantry consisted of around 600,000. Between the mobilizations, theyve fielded an additional 300,000 troops. 900,000 men. Thus far, the estimates on casualties are all over the place. But general consensus for sources not affiliated with Ukraine or Russia is Russia has had 315,000 casualties. Lets say half of those survived, and we'll say 2/3rds of those survivors weren't injured badly enough to be sent home. that is 157,500 dead, and 51,975 who were injured too badly to continue fighting. that is 209,475 troops lost in terms of combat strength. The US on the other hand has only fought 2 wars that took more casualties. The US Civil war that saw 4.5 million men under arms in the most brutal fighting on either of the american continents. Fighter Tales mentioned the VDV getting dumped into the ocean, I remember that from the early days of the full-scale invasion but when I go back to find old news of it I am stumped. But maybe my memory works.

I love history and been studying it for years but learnt more through just listening to this video, Putin is possibly the most delusional person I've heard speaking about history and this is meant to be a educated man 😂

As a home-brewer the salt in tea\beer thing is reasonable. The salt adjusts the mineral content in the water which changes the taste of what you are brewing. It doesn't matter if it is beer or tea, the important thing is taste and preference for the brew so that people enjoy it.

37:05 The Eastern Orthodox Christian Church looks to Constantinople as its seat, not Moscow. I married into it, and have (even after 30 years) still learning about the faith, history, standings, and the organization. The Ukrainian branch does have communication with the Russian, but does not superceed nor be subject to it - they have their own head (called a Metropolitan), and he sits in Constantinople.

Many thanks guys 🙏❤️ this has made my day. Brilliant 🌟 Just as a thought, the Putin “gunslinger” kgb walk, I’m not so sure it’s kgb, i think it’s just to imply he’s carrying something. My reasoning is if kgb taught officers to walk like that, they could never operate secretly, you’d spot them a mile away. Putin loves to try to look cool, silly little man 😂

Putin’s favourite film “Seventeen moments of spring” he idolises the main spy character, sort of a Soviet James Bond. When the Mayor of St Petersburg was running his re-election campaign Putin was alongside him. Putin was in a promotion video that has him driving down a road in a car, all copied from a scene in his favourite film 😂 pathetic. Putin is such a wannabe, a boring grey kgb bureaucrat, who desperately wanted to be a “cool” spy.

The number 1 rule of rethoric is to win the likeing and trust from the audiance. The message itself is less important and comes second. And the third most important thing is to keep peoples attention by doing something unexpected if they start to yawn or look on their phone and lose focus. Putin did not at all care about forming his message for his audiance. And if he had a point, then it was drowned out in 4 hours of boring nonsense. And the interview was boring. If you don't want people to yawn and look at their phones or shoes when you are speaking you need to do something interesting or unexpected. Sitting in a chair and talk about history 800 years AD is a good way to get the average Trump voter to stop watching after 10 minutes and switch over to watching Nascar instead. And I cannot blame him. Watching this garbage for 4 hours is just wasting ones life. His support for Hitler invading Poland was a funny highlight of the interview, but it doesn't win sympaties of western voters. It will only turn the west even more against him.

That's actually a common trait with russians and the Soviets. No idea how we think or function as a society, and that we don't use words like "anti air/warm water ports" etc..
