Meir and I studied in the same college. He struggled to see things clearly and I helped him write his notes. Now he is seeing 20/60. I am proud of him.

Nathan while doing nose drawing we have to focus on tip of nose or the surrounding things?
@NathanOxenfeld2 жыл бұрын
Focus on the target you are "drawing", not the tip of your nose. Also don't forget to do lots of nose drawings with your eyes closed too, so you're involving your memory and imagination.

Hi Nathan. I have fast question. Can I wear glasses or contact lenses while I playing tennis, or it can stooped my vision progress?
@NathanOxenfeld2 жыл бұрын
You can wear glasses/contacts when needed, but I would also encourage you to try playing tennis with the naked eye from time to time... maybe just when practicing or messing around, not necessarily when you're trying to win haha. Most sports, when played without glasses, can be very stimulating and beneficial for the natural vision training process. Glasses and contacts may slow down the vision improvement process, but you don't want to deny yourself the need/want for them while you're in the process of improving.

what was your prescription when you first started your vision restoration journey? how long did it take to go back to 20/20?
@NathanOxenfeld2 жыл бұрын
I was around -4.00 myopia & -2.00 astigmatism when I learned about the Bates Method. In total it took me about 4 years to get back to sustainable 20/20. Keep in mind, I started getting temporary clear flashes of 20/20 or better much sooner than that, but it took longer for it to become more permanent. Nathan I heard that you are a great fan of Jake Steiner's active focus method. What's your opinion on our eye guru?
@NathanOxenfeld2 жыл бұрын
I do not teach active focus, I teach the Bates Method. According to the Bates Method, staring is a bad vision habit and blinking is one of the easiest ways to break that bad habit. So I would encourage you to blink instead of stare.

@@NathanOxenfeldI think you should wear spectacles Nathan. There's no relation between my question and your answer. What's your opinion on OUR eye guru Jake Steiner?
@enibeni37832 жыл бұрын
Can I opine on Jake? Jake spends as much time trashing the Bates method as he does promoting the active focus. That is the reason I would never get a lesson from him. I took lessons with Nathan instead. Much more honest and transparent.

Yoga fixed my eyesight, said no one ever. Try this on a blind guy. Sell your business.
@NathanOxenfeld2 жыл бұрын
No one has ever said yoga fixed their eyesight? That's precisely what both Meir and I are saying in this video... that combining Yoga and the Bates Method helped significantly restore our eyesight naturally. Not only has that helped me and Meir, but he provides many examples of other people improving as well. Meir even created a video series called Yoga For Your Eyes, which is one of the first times I learned that yoga can help eyesight. Not to mention the Netra Vyayamam (yogic eye movements) that people have been getting benefits from for hundreds, if not thousands of years. If you want to hear actual success stories with blind patients, listen to the March 1921 episode of the Better Eyesight Podcast, which is all about the Bates Method helping with blindness.
