Hi Nathan, I have very low vision in my left eye (-18 diopter) compared to right eye (-6 diopter). Would you still recommend that I don't wear any glasses/contact lens? Thank you

palming works folks. 100% recommended & 100% worth the investment. you can see results in one session. just do it. use healing words/thoughts along with it. massage sockets/temples when you have the energy. or use a wrap for support & fall asleep in the palming position if tired.

@1H03M35S people with perfect vision who've never worn glasses often do a tiny head swing and just consider it part of how they operate and how they process reality. Baseball players in particular ... they are moving all over the place... all the time. The average pro baseball player has 20/13 vision.

Dear Nathan, Thank you for yet another wonderfully relaxing Palming Party. I have been palming daily since this past September, swinging, fluttering, looking at type very closely and a host of other techniques to small positive changes. This has become a part of my life and I thank you again.

Long time no see😅, sorry could not resist, I see you are busy, that is good. Love all the videos. I now do Bates with my dogs, i incorporated our play, therapy and eye exercises together at all times of the day even into the darker times, i do practice moving in my home in the darker times, safely of course. Great stuff. 😇👍🙏🌲

Just after cupping my eyes while you read Aldous Huxley, I was able to actually read a note I wrote on my whiteboard, though it was blurry, whereas yesterday I couldn't read it at all from the same distance. I just started the method yesterday. This is very encouraging!

This week I really focused on taking off my glasses and using my eyes by focusing on my peripheral, moving my eyes around and blinking way more and relaxing and by the end of the day, my eyes felt tired and almost like hurt, is that normal? These past two days, my eyes feel so much better but wanted to see if anyone else felt that. I’m so excited for this journey!
@sarahmuschel4812
@sarahmuschel4812 Ай бұрын
Yes, I had that exact same experience and wondered about it too. Thought maybe I am using muscles that have somewhat atrophied ect. (Especially since I have really high myopia), but worried if that amount of eye fatigue and hurting means that’s not the right way for specific individuals.
@NathanOxenfeld
@NathanOxenfeld Ай бұрын
That is probably normal. Like Sarah said, you're likely feeling some of the eye strain that has been there all along, but hadn't felt it because the glasses have a "numbing" effect. I felt some of those discomforts for the first few weeks, but the more I kept repeating my relaxation practices and habits, they went away. Actually, it even got to the point where I actually felt more discomfort with my glasses on than off. So stick with it until you experience that switch yourself! Although, keep in mind, those discomforts can sometimes be a sign that you are still straining and trying too hard to see without glasses... so as long as you are keeping that in check, you should be good.
@NathanOxenfeld
@NathanOxenfeld Ай бұрын
@@sarahmuschel4812 Yes, you are experiencing new sensations in your eye muscles after they have been misused or unused because of the glasses. In addition to you spending naked eye time with no glasses on, it may also be important to use reduced prescription glasses to wean down the strength over time gradually if you have high myopia.

The Bates method is capable of improving vision, but its only drawback is that it requires a long time, perhaps years So most people don't practice it Because they want a quick and immediate solution Mr. Nathan, I practiced this method correctly in its entirety, but I did not get any results. Rather, I got clear flashes, and the diometer did not decrease. I ask you, Mr. Nathan, is there a way to get results in a short period of time?

@NathanOxenfeld
@NathanOxenfeld Ай бұрын
In my opinion, aside from relaxation in general, I think learning central fixation is one of the ways to achieve impressive results in a relatively short amount of time. It's also important to have ways of measuring your improvements beyond just your diopters, like using eye charts at home much closer than 20 feet, in addition to the data you get from your eye doctors where they usually test you at 20 feet.

@@sarahmuschel4812 Well, I'm not a vision improvement expert or anything... but when when I'm speaking in a rigid way, or too much in my throat, or a tense jaw etc., my vision feels strained as well. Everything's connected in a way after all, as they said in the video. I've noticed the sinuses, nasal passage and such all have an effect on my vision since they're so close to the eyes. It's a bit silly, but if you try imitating a different accent or even a cartoon character just for fun, you might notice things loosening up a bit. Just uses different muscles you might not normally use when you're changing your pitch, tongue position and things.

Hi @NathanOxenfeld and @Listen-to-the-eyes Thank you both very much for what you do!! Last week I heard this episode twice, and it was a very interesting experience for me, still can't get over it and trying to figure out what it could have meant. I'm 42 years old, wearing glasses since I was 8, and had never ever heard of natural vision or the Bates method in my life until this year, which still kind of bothers me, because of my hi myopia I've had retinal tears, therefore laser. I started with some exercises online from Ainhoa de Federico and had a couple of clear vision flashes so in April I decided join her program and to take my contacts off-it has been a wonderful and eyeopener adventure! Still in the process of my recovery, but more than half way through 😊 however learning so many more things, and in my reaserch the other day I found out about the naked eye podcast. This exercise of conversation with my own eyes and my daughters eyes has left me very intrigued. Last night I ordered online Heal your Soul, Heal your Sight book and I'm very eager on reading it, as well as Orit Kruglanski's I see clearly for my 8 year old girl, whom I am trying to avoid she goes through everything I went through with my eyes for almost 35 years! So many thanks, Mariana
