@@kanikagaral7637 why do they bother having kids if they can't take care of them? Seriously, she's complaining because she spends the whole day with her precious kids? I really don't see a better reason to stay home. Oh well. I guess they're not that precious in her eyes anyway.

@@SomiaDz coz she want more from life then just being a mother. It's not a bad thing. Some women gave ambition to be more and they r allowed to be. Just coz u like being at home with ur kids doesn't mean every woman do. Not defending her lack of attention but generally speaking.

@@kanikagaral7637 I don't have kids yet and I also work and have ambitions that I'm not willing to give up completely even if I did (I might stay home for a few years until they grow up a little but I certainly won't give up my job forever after the 11 years I spent in college to get my degree). But as someone who suffers from PCOS, so I probably won't be able to conceive easily, I'm just appalled by people who take their children for granted. The least she could've done is make sure that her kids are being taken care of by a normal person not a psychopath.

This particular movie is based off the novel Chanson Douce (something like Lullaby) by Leila Slimani. Wheter she took inspiration from the true crime, I don't know. But this movie is based on the book. Same setting and characters, exact same events. It's worth reading, the book has a lot more insight into both Louise and Miriam, especially their backgrounds.

I'm a college graduate and stay- at-home mom. Have four kids and counting days for my fifth ... There were times when I had good opportunities to work and earn well , but comparing the money that I could have by selling my time to others and the incompencable loss that me and my children could have , I decided not to work till my children start school... but of course one coming after another , it never happened. My husband works hard to provide for our family. We are not well off financially but enough, alhamdulillah , and we are happy, always grateful. My children are my treasure and I am grateful for being able to spend full time with my kids and witness every moment of them grow up. Investing in your family is never a loss.

Ok, so my husband encouraged his friend to marry this girl because he had gotten her pregnant. She was supposedly a little slow mentally. They end up having 2 boys together. He works construction making $22 an hour and this was the 90s. He hated his wife because she didn't clean it cook and barely took care of the kids. When he meet me, I saw the sadness in his eyes. When the oldest son was 7, he came home early and found his wife hold the boys heads under water in the bath because they complained of being hungry. It was reported to the police. Thankfully the judge gave the father a choice: divorce her or lose your kids. He's happy now.

It’s based on a real-life, horrific case: Lucia (6) and Leo (2) Krim were stabbed to death by their nanny and dumped into their bathtub. When the mother found them, the nanny was sitting next to the tub and began stabbing herself. She lived, she was heavily prosecuted, and she’s serving a life sentence for the murders. It turned out that she was mentally unstable and her family knew it, but no one did anything to warn the Krims of this and her mental issues were carefully concealed so she could have a job. Now there’s a law in New York prohibiting this; even if you do not have violent mental issues, you are now required to report any and all mental problems when applying to work a child care position (Lulu & Leo’s Law, 2018).
