There is (or was) a large collection of Napoleonic and earlier uniforms in Les Invalides, the French Army Museum in Paris, and it was fascinating to see them up close, bear in mind this was before the invention of many dyes developed by the chemical industry in the late 19th C, so the range of colours, and their intensity is quite different, so the red was a orangey brick red, not a bright red, and the cloth weave was quite coarse, and I think they also predate the invention of the sewing machine. I ran across this via the side bar, but used to do some 54mm Napoleonic figure models a long time ago, before I went to Les Invalides which is why I was interested in the uniform details and colours. I shall have to explore your content further.

Fall front trousers (Post 1812) were a slightly more blueish gray and had 2 hole wooden, bone or horn buttons, configured three on the cummerbund and four on a slightly wider fall front. (Sorry! I could bore for my country on this subject)😂

Speaking of British military uniforms of the British army (not from the late 19th century). Are we going to see anymore videos or content of your English Civil War kit and possibly you going to Civil War reenactments in the future? Keep up the content Simon, love your passion and appreciation for military history! (Plus Rob of BritishMuzzleLoaders has also covered his version of the tunic in his Kit series, too. Well worth having a watch if you haven't already.)

Its definitely red. Maybe check your rgb settings.
