*Kindly help to make the timeline and captions.* According to "Beeld en Geluid" these are the locations, but where on the timeline precisely? Willemsdorp, Rotterdam, Brasschaat, Zwijndrecht, Antwerpen, Zundert, Haarlem, Dordrecht, Amsterdam. In any case the route goes through the Western part of the provinces Noord en Zuid Holland. I think Brasschaat & Antwerpen are a mistake

The part stating at 7:37 with the railroad crossing is not in the vicinity of Halfweg, but much closer to what in that time the city limits of Haarlem were. It's at the crossing of the old rijksweg & tramway Haarlem/Amsterdam with the former, but now torn up railroad from Haarlem to Hoofddorp, close to where the Jewish cemetery is, just north of the current Haarlem neigbourhoods Parkwijk en Zuiderpolder. You can see where this railroad was routed on www.topotijdreis.nl/ on the maps between 1913 and 1950. A suggested identification would be: "Overweg bij de halte "Rijksstraatweg" van de HESM"

Watching films like this, just for a while you are taken back almost to a different world. It looks so old fashioned to us but to the people in the film it was the same as how we see our world today.

I think in this movie the route: Willemsdorp, Rotterdam, The Hague, Leiden, Lisse, Haarlem, Amsterdam is driven. Largely parallel along the NZH tram network. Until 1932, steam trams were also used on this route by the NZH. 0:15 a 1925 Chevrolet truck. 0:24 a 1921 Chevrolet truck. 0:34 a Renault bus. 2:07 nearby the bridge Kanaalweg in Overschie. 5:42 we see a tram to Lisse. 6:02 we see a bus from the HBBM (Haarlemsche Brockway Bus Maatschappij). 7:39 The intersection of the Amsterdam - Haarlem tram line (opened in 1904) with the Haarlem - Hoofddorp railway line Haarlemmermeer (opened in 1912). Slightly east of the Hoofdwerkplaats Haarlem. The canal towards Amsterdam was crossed by a lift bridge, on the left just outside the screen. The steam locomotive is of the 7700 type. The tram line had been owned by the NZH since 1924 and was initially located on both sides of the road with two single tracks. The railway to Hoofddorp was discontinued in 1935. 7:53 a 1925 Lincoln model L. At 8:15 we see the Westergasfabriek and the tram line from Haarlem to Amsterdam crossing the road and continue at the same side of the road.

@saifulizhan4 жыл бұрын
@@le_onnik you are right to a certain point. Covid has fatality of mere 1 to 2% rate. But that is not the issue. The issue is its highly contagious. None seen before. The level of contagious is so alarming it could choke any healthcare system of a country within weeks. The first major case in my country triggered some 2300-2500 cases in the matter of 3 months. The guy came back from korea, spent 3 days at a mass social gathering of 15k people. There alone he infected almost 230 people in just 3 days. The rest was chain reaction. Now doctors are better informed about the disease. Lesser people die if they get threated. The concern is that covid cases choke the healthcare. This is where the death toll rise dramaticaly since the severe cases not treated well and timely. Backlogged cases and testing.
