The National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) is an annual mandated programme delivered by local authorities, which involves measuring the height and weight of school children in Reception and Year 6.
This information is used by the NHS and the Local Authority to support and promote families to maintain a healthier lifestyle. This brief local video has been devised by the Infant Feeding, Family Diet and Nutrition team to show what the process entails and why it is important to take part.
This video shows how our Family Health Assistant from HDFT 0 - 19 Children’s Service carries out the National Child Measurement Programme with a couple of local children who are in Reception and Year 6.
