Love the Jackie, I dont have a Robinson in my collection, a bit out of my price range, but to be honest, I never really wanted one, But now that im 47, Thinking about it, Love the Griffey, easily one of my all time favorite cards, I remember as a kid not being able to afford one, Now I have 6, One is a graded 9, No idea what it's worth, My best friend has been telling me for years that I need to get some of my cards graded, I dont trust it for some reason

I went to college (UTampa) w/that renowned artist who's work you showed aka Justyn Farano. Met up w him at Fenway a few years ago (he's the official artist of the Sox Team Store, the Baseball HOF, Ted Williams Museum, & much more) & my mom ended up ordering that very same Belichick in your vid for my dad. Justyn's an awesome guy & it's absolutely incredible what he is capable of! He gets invited to paint at every major sporting event every year, meeting every athlete you could ever imagine. That same artist I met at the National last year. Excellent stuff. The National seems to also be a museum as well as a place to pick up items and meet people. Very cool. Congrats on the Robinson and Griffey, Jr. they're stellar cards! We're roughly the same age so I remember when Upper Deck first came out and it was a huge deal. I pulled a Griffey from a pack which has long since dissapeared. But the card I always wanted was the 89 Fleer Billy Ripken FF bat card.

I’m 44. Was born in 1979. I pulled the Griffey in a pack, as well, in 1989 or 1990. I still have mine and it is my pride and joy. Congrats on the Griffey pickup. That auto’d card is on my list to get at some point!

We're the same age! I've NEVER pulled or owned an '89 Upper Deck Griffey Jr. but I've always wanted it...I have lots and lots of his other rookies. The big issue is that I can never find anyone who will be rational about it! and once the boom hit, game over... I'm just going to have to get lucky at some point! Congrats on your auto!

Went there yesterday afternoon and agree the pure size of the venue and people on a Thursday afternoon was overwhelming. I was there looking for some specific cards and it's hard to find them. Seemed like every vendor had lines of people in front of them and their product (good for the vendors) which prevents others from browsing/shopping. Glad I went, but won't be going again if Chicago wins the 2026 bid. Will stick to smaller weekend local shows.

I bought 100 of those 89 Griffeys 5.00 each when they first came out!! They sky rocketed to 180 sold t by em for 125 !! Then the bottom fell out back down to 40 a card !! Lol then I git out of collecting !! Never got back into it to expensive now !!

The price is good on the Griffey, but he's signed a lot over the years and I've steered away just because I can't see these holding a lot of value long term. But as a PC card, sure $400 is solid. Like you, I have a graded copy of the card just to have and it was only $100, so not an 'investment'.

I’m just starting to get into autos, so pardon my ignorance. What does it mean when there’s no numbered grade to the card, and the auto is not numbered, but just says “authentic”? And why would autographs be graded numerically anyway? Seems like it either is or isn’t authentic.
