Good tire choise, I am on my second set of NS2R's. most of my friends run them too and some have experimented with federal 595 and yokohama Advan semislicks, but most of them returned to Nankangs tires just because of the quality for the money. There's also a NS2 (so without the R). It's the more "dailyable" brother. Although 1 daily mine even through the winter. Love to see 2soon junior getting a makeover and excited for the Nitrous. Keep it up man :)

So I have Advanti Storms, 15x8 35mm offset and the widest I can fit on my car without rolled fenders is 205. I have 205/50/15 Potenza RE71s and they are really close to touching. Your car doesn't seem very low. My ride height is about 12.5in in the rear and about 12in in the front. I don't think there's anyway I'm squeezing 225s on there without rolling the fenders.

In this video it has stock exhaust, intake is a DIY 2.5" with K&N filter, squaretop intake manifold, exhintake cam; and also there's a mic in the engine bay. But, even inside the car you hear a ton of induction noise and it's excellent.

I have a 1991 miata a little under 200k miles and has developed a pretty severe rod knock. My dad is a master mechanic so we will be doing all the work (other then machining the block) at home. Our biggest issue right now is that no one has inventory for a stock rebuild for the 1.6. Since this is my first rebuild my dad wants us to keep the original 1.6 in the miata instead of swapping to a 1.8 or getting a working 1.6. Is there anywhere or websites you know of that would have stock rebuild supplies or will we have to shell out more for custom bottom end internals?
@repbegger55583 жыл бұрын
Just got new rims for my miata and thinking of a tire choise in 195/50r15 (can't change stock dimension here) Heard nankang are really sketchy in rain for dailying, are Yokohama ad08r any a good choise for a miata ?
@nehok3 жыл бұрын
Nb fitment question for dad et all - my dual duty nb has 15x8 et 20 all round. Currently 195/50 ps3s, but i want to move to an actual track tire this year. The particular tire I want to run comes in 195/50 or 225\45. My challenge is, I'm more than happy to roll the shit out of my front fenders but I can't roll the rear, because my rear arches/fenders have been replaced and welded. The body shop told me not to roll them as they will crack if I do. To compromise though they cut the inside lip of the rear arch down to half its original size though so I do have a bit more space than stock. I think 205s will fit fine but not sure about 225s.. Ideally I'd borrow a set and find out.
@TheCarPassionChannel3 жыл бұрын
Best way to get an idea of what you can fit on there, is to put the car on stands, remove the rear coilover and disconnect the sway bar, put the wheel back on, and jack up the suspension arm to simulate wheel travel. Then you can measure the tightest areas to see if you have ~15mm to spare (225-195=30, 15 inside and 15 outside). Keep in mind that some tires run wider and have thicker sidewalls.
@nehok3 жыл бұрын
@@TheCarPassionChannel Hmmm Ok good thinking! I've got to rebush my suspension atm so will do so then. I don't have much rear camber atm too so i've still got that up my sleave too. Thanks Greg!

I'm about to slap Hyper Silver JR12 9x16 ET20 with 215/40R16 tires onto "Miazda". It's a silver 99 1.8 NB and i think i will go with 2° negativ in the front and like 1.5° negative in the back. For the lowering: if you look straight onto the wheels, there should ne a 1/5 inch (5mm) space between the upper end of the tire and the body of the car. Should work if i just roll the fenders or do you think i also need to pull them?
