Just being anble to keep it simple without their being a liability on the floor will help Sga and others stay rested come playoff time.

As a Knicks fan, I'm very concerned about the toughness we gave up this offseason. iHart is an absolute beast, punishing smaller players on screens, always in position defensively and just an unrelenting rebounder. I'm so disappointed we never unlocked his passing ability and his departure caused us to pull the trigger on KAT, which on paper looks great but we lose another bruiser in Randle and a tough defensive hound in Divo. Sure, we acquired Bridges who is defensively skilled but does he have that heart and hustle the way iHart and Divo do? I do think the Knicks will be a great regular season team but I'm probably one of the few who would have preferred to run it back with a healthy version of last year's squad than the one we have now.

OKC IS ALREADY SO DEEP WITHOUT USING THE HANDFUL OF 1ST ROUND PICKS THEY STILL HAVE!!!! CHET AS A #3 IS CRAZY!!! Many people consider Popovitch the greatest coach ever but its obvious that Wemby is going to fall into the Wilt Chamberlin parallells once again when you think about how he will have to face OKC (and houston) for the next decade or so to even go to the NBA finals. He may become the best statistical player but when you look at some of the teams out west and in the east (if he makes the finals) he is going to have to get far better teamates and while the East is clearly better today, THE WEST IS GOING TO BECOME A BATTLE EVERY PLAYOFF! And if Popavich even gets to the finals again it should rise his claim as the greatest coach if he isn't in the eyes to many.

Leons is a very good big for OKC. Finishes well around the rim and passes very well. A polished version of Poku.
@airborne_sealАй бұрын
OKC has what Minnesota has tried to have: Twin Towers, superstar lead guard, and 3&D players around them. Chet seems a lot like KAT- good floor spacer, decent defender, can defend like a 7-foot wing. I-Hart is the luxury version of Gobert, bringing more offensively but less defensively, but still a solid rim protector. SGA and Ant are extremely similar, Caruso is something like Conley (veteran presence, good playmaker, Caruso is a much better defender also Conley ain’t terrible), and the JDub to McDaniels comparison is the only outlier. I see a lot of other similarities down the bench but OKC has the benefit of youth and clearly some extremely good development coaches. If Minnesota could be a top seed for a couple consecutive seasons, OKC should be a top 3 lock for a couple to come. Scary times.

Hey amazing video but i have an opinion, its a disrespect to not talk about Mark Daigneault. We have to be honest, this is a hell of a team, but we don´t have playares like LeBron (prime), Curry (prime), Jordan etc...what we have its a ridiculus well balanced team, and when you think of the addition of Caruso and Hartenstein, its a massage of how aware of the team is Daigneault.

He's head and shoulders above the rest and it's not close. That doesn't mean he doesn't make mistakes but he routinely puts real contenders together.

I've been an OKC fan for a decade. I think the hype is out of control, lol. Dont get me wrong, they got rid of their biggest liability and added some great pieces, but lets see midway through the season if its going to work for us. I hate pre season, just start already.
@SpartanArmy117Ай бұрын
I hate to get hype after watching some preseason, but I'll say it... get hype. This team is the real deal and they have a 2 guard that can shoot now. Obviously, you have to take the human element into consideration, they could blow it, but this team really should win a ring this year.

Dude this team has a 2 year runway, they're gonna start shedding talent, that's not a bad place to be mind you
@hestilllives192Ай бұрын
Nah, they can keep all of their top 9 players for at least the next 3 years, and still easily be under the 2nd apron. And have a mountain of draft picks to move players if needed. The only real decision they will need to make in the next couple years outside of the back of the rotation is whether or not to keep Cason Wallace or Lu Dort when SGA needs a Supermax 3 off-season's from now.

@hestilllives192Ай бұрын
@@xencloud Never said it was a problem. Going to be exciting watching this group grow together the next few years. Edit: Not sure why I thought you said "explain how that's a problem". But you extend Caruso for 4/$80m or so this season, and trade Dieng at the deadline or next offseason. Sign two rookies for about $8-10m together and keep everyone else, which puts you around $178m, so still $10m under the tax for 25-26. The big jump comes with JDub/Chet going up to 25%, or about $42.5m each in 26-27. Turn down KRich, comes back on min or you let him go, and let JWil go unless on a min deal (if they come back on min deals you trade the draft picks). Draft 2 more rookies for $10m, for a 14 man roster at $227.9 where the 2nd apron is $228.6m. That's without doing a renegotiation with IHart (just accepting the TO), which they probably do. Like I said, the real decision comes in 27-28, where you can only afford to keep two of Caruso/Dort/Wallace. Lots of other options though, like drafting a top tier PF/C replacement in 2025, and then letting IHart go when JDub/Chet need to be paid.
