One of the most melodic pieces from The Necks, a real msterpiece. I wish i was there. The next time i get the chance to go to Copenhagen to the Jazzhouse to see them, i'll go.

Who down voted this?? I mean, I get that this may not be for everyone, but I can't imagine someone not already into jazz, minimalism, improv, and experimentation checking this out in the first place. Ha!!! I bet they were like WTF IS THIS SHIT?? Now me? I think this is one of the single most mesmerizing pieces of music I've ever enjoyed. So very, very wow.

Agonizing and pretentious 45 minute build up to finally something of real creativity! They could fill up a whole box set with one song but the only thing challenged here is one's patience. One of the most overrated groups of all time!

Come, now. If you don't like minimalism, why would you listen to this in the first place? For those of us who do, it's magical. What's the motivation for pissing on someone else's parade when you're in no way forced to attend it?

I do not go by styles of music only what the result is at the end of a certain performance whether it is recorded or happening live in front of my eyes and that result was all my original comment was about. I did watch or listen to this video twice in its entirety. I am saying this just in case you were wondering if I stopped at the 45 minute mark! I like Philip Glass and Ronin for example. They are quite magical and doesn't take them forever every time to reach that height.

Agonizing and pretentious comments. It's like saying, "Coltrane starts that piece slowly and builds up to my desired level of chaos, whereas Ornette Coleman plunges into that level of chaos from note one. I'll take Ornette Coleman." Two different approaches that can stand side by side, and one need not diminish the other. For what it's worth, I saw the Necks a few weeks back and could barely blink because they were so fascinating to watch, not to mention hear. You're entitled to your opinion, of course, as well as to the blowback that results.

Thank you! Coltrane. Now that was an amazing musician who could give you a truly engaging build up to a tune. The Necks approach at in the pieces for I've heard so far had just been lazy.

Lazy? That's some world-class trolling right there. Kudos.
