Judging by how much aa fire there was I'd say they could have lasted months or years even that was a big plantet those fighters would not have been able to control the sky's like they did

One last item. If you wire your bats in series to get to 48v for use with an electric motor. If you decide to add 2 side rail 100w PV panels, their voltage even wired in series may not be high enough to charge 48v bank. So you would need a boost MPPT controller, that boosts the voltage coming from small solar panels to a voltage, that you can select, that can charge 48v bat bank. Boost controllers run around $50 Ebay/Amazon) that could handle 200w from two 100w panels. .
