People dislike this movie? I really can't understand it. Here is my assessment: One of the best sci-fi action movies of all time. It's also an intelligent treatment of religion, ethics, and tyrrany. The different groups in this movie are wonderful creations, a universe unto itself every bit as good as the Star Trek or Star Wars universe. The Necromongers, Elementals, Furyans, and New Mecca all deserve a TV show on Netflix.
@FiltyIncognito9 ай бұрын
@@mcdrunkis That and this movie was before serious comic book and scifi drama/action stuff was in fashion. Can't remember the exact chronology but I think this was either before or at the start of the movement away from nerds = losers. Some stuff was cool enough for the big crowds, but by and large if a movie didn't portray itself just right then no matter how good it was it would still get a lot of hate. As far as I can remember, people wanted Triple X more than this.

No, not on Netflix, you see, Netflix belongs to Obama, therefore a shitty company full of its owner's own degeneration (Michelle Obama is a man, so starting from there...) then if Netflix made a series of Riddick this would end up being an lgtbihfgdbvnsmlworutslfdhflshfbeykl++++++++++ and we don't want that, so a Riddick series would be made by a russian, chinese or iranian production company, obviously all straight actors from those countries but preserving the races and characteristics of each character and forgetting about the casts from Hollyjew or Europe, there the adventures of Riddick would be great as was this movie

@@stefperi Yeah, but Vin Diesel is 6'0" tall. It requires an insane amount of coordination to do that at his height. Gymnasts are typically much shorter and have a lower center of gravity (calisthenics of any kind is harder for taller people). He was also an actor, not a professional athlete, making this even more impressive. I'm just glad he got to record this scene while he was in prime shape. It epitomizes Riddick as a master escape artist with superhuman strength (Riddick is not just a Furyan, an offshoot of genetically evolved humans, but an Alpha Furyan, which places him at the very top of the hierarchy).

One of their allies was just slain by this infamous interplanetary criminal yet all they do is just laugh and think about how it's less money for them to share lol. Not to mention also showing how dang dangerous and intelligent Riddick is even when restrained, outnumbered, and/or at a disadvantaged. Creating an advantage (or weapon...) out of the least likely of environments or objects.
