I live in Midwest farming country. It makes me sad to see old barns that are falling into ruins. Several generations ago that barn was some family’s pride and joy. They probably worked for years to earn enough money to build that large building. It takes a lot of money to maintain a barn. If it no longer has a function or purpose most families wouldn’t have that kind of money. I understand it is a passing way of life but it makes me sad.

It's also amazing to me, in such a beautiful neighborhood , why the city just lets property sit there until it finally collapses onto itself. It probably was a really nice house at one time, and yet there it sits, a neighborhood eyesore for years and years. It's a total eyesore, it devalues the other properties on the street and is going to end up a dumping ground, or infested with critters. What's the point? If a city can issue a citation for grass, surely they should have some control over how long properties sit as vacant eyesores. It's really such a shame.

Happy Friyaaaaaay, everyone! I’ve been waiting since 5 am as I can’t wait to see what transformation Spencer will show us today. And wow, he never fails us! Have a great weekend, Mr and Mrs SB Mowing 🥰❤️

You just excavated walkways that hadn’t seen the light of day for years! Such a satisfying feeling to see things restored to how they are supposed to be.

Either someone has recently cut the yard or this type of grass doesn't grow very tall. If its been abandonded for years, I'm surprised there aren't more bushes and trees growing

Excited Lawn Lady here! Can’t wait for my shirt to arrive! Thanks for thinking of us! I wish I could wear the I’m sexy and I mow it shirt - that one’s great - but I don’t want to attract unwanted neighbor attention, so this shirt is just perfect! Thanks again! Excellent content as always!

Not sure about the house from last week, but this one, Spence, looks like the city condemned it a while ago. Plywood over the doors and windows. Wow.

Would love to see this house restored to what it looked like in 1910 with a white picket fence around the yard and flowers planted in front of that beautiful porch! Great job cleaning up the yard SB!

Great job as always. I'm surprised that these adjacent homes aren't saved by the community or Historical Preservation Society. If refurbished, they could be beautiful examples of late 19th century architecture and become venues for special events. I hope they don't get demolished. Your clean-up brought out their charm. Keep up the great work, Spencer!

any chance that you could notify the historical preservation society to let them know the situation

That poor house just needs to be torn down, I bet it was gorgeous back in the day with that beautiful front porch and bay window on the side. Great job again Spencer!!

Yeah, if I were rebuilding it, I’d actually keep a lot of the old layout in the new design.
@indianaslim49718 ай бұрын
@@JazzTechiethere's no rebuilding of this house, Julie is correct by calling it a tear down, it hasn't had a roof in maybe a decade, possibly longer.

Yes, that's what I'd do. Tear it down and put up a "clone". It was just such a beautiful house!

Oh yeah I would be creeped out too!! Forget that, I'm out!! Looks great, I grew up in a large home like that with my grandparents,but our sidewalk went all around. Our grandpa made it and had all the kids and grandkids names carved in it.😢
