I'm 24 years old and I was legit in the same living situation as Gerald and had a severe opiate addiction 3 years ago now.. Today, I'm still clean and sober working full time in a homeless shelter getting a wage others would have had to go to school for multiple years to get. I am reminded everyday where I can end up and how much I can lose if I choose the wrong path again. I just wanted to write this for those who are struggling with an addiction and think there is no hope for yourself, I'm telling you now... I did it, so can you. Life is so much better after you put in the work on yourself.
