The Stryfe has a legacy, and the NERF Alpha Strike Flyte CS-10 has a lot to live up to if it wants to even remotely stand a chance. Luckily, while it's definitely rough around the edges, the Flyte has a lot to offer modders and little to offer anyone else... at least according to this review.

This blaster has an N-Strike Barrel Adapter, Didn't you get the Nerf Chrono Barrel? Slap that puppy on it and then shoot it thru your mini chrono and compare them.

The chronobarrel readings aren't that accurate if you have a real chronograph.

Face cam mid rant is a cool change! retained Jam door with no screw? brilliant! screws and seperated battery doors are CONSTANTLY missing. I've 3d printed more nerf battery doors than any other type of component! If I were to make it modular like you say, I would certainly use mosfets. The ability to bypass the switches away from the main circuit has some great advantage here. Your cage and battery compartment at the front would need proper wires, as they are the main circuit, but you can swap those out together (stock cage +4xAA swap for upgraded cage +lipo) with the fet, and you plug a single small connector into the shell which goes to the trigger switch. You could even use a JST which are tiny.

Using a different mag worked alot better for me on releasing, but having to hold the mag release to fit a mag inside is annoying. But i agree i like the design and using the batteries i did i got an average of around 80fps standard with adv force waffle head darts

I found the stock mag has issues. gravity would pull the magazine from hitting the rev trigger lock. I either have to push up the magazine while firing or use tighter fit magazine. But I'm glad you like the profile of the blaster like I do.😀

I might pick one of these up when they are available in the UK if they are less than £20. Gonna pick up a 2 pack of the Alpha Strike Tiger DB-2 for £12 in a couple days. I'm not a performance nerfer, and just mess around plinking with nerf guns indoors or in my garden. Somethimes have mini wars in the house or my pal's, rarely with more than 2 of us, so practicality doesn't matter to me. Got a jet blaster CEDA though incase i ever go to a proper nerf event again (been to one in my life, kicked ass with my CEDA)

Great video, I really liked your explanation as to why you like the blaster, even though it might fail at its intended purpose (Task failed successfully). You could probably start a whole series where the intro is "For 99 percent of people, this blaster is garbage, here's why I love it!"
