This is a pretty great car that would definitely sell in the U.S. We need more EVs in this segment - sporty, appeals to younger consumers, good to great performance. I think it would definitely sell, and I wish they’d set up manufacturing/battery manufacturing facilities in the U.S. for the market here. The styling seems a little tame for a certain sub segment of buyers (young men mainly). So there’s still room for a 2-seater Miata coupe/convertible too, and the MG convertible is in that higher end more aggressively styled niche. None of them are available in the U.S. but Chinese and other consumers will have some great choices.

For my humble opinion let me metion few key things that Why Neta is a EV thats like none other . 1.At the current of all Chinese EV model on sale in china ,currecntly the Neta GT is the only Coupe style car , and put that in all Chinese sports coupe history ,this is like the 6th car of made by chinese that is shaped in Coupe, so its very rare even for chinese market . 2.Hozon (the company) has many concept car that was promiss to ge sold in public but out of all , they debut the Neta S and GT first , they could just launch some generic SUV like the rest of the world , but they didnt , they have put all public image of the company resting on there 2 new sporty models . 3.The CEO personly tweet the Neta cars price on social media, that even with world situation evolving , there policy of car marking will not be efffect by that ,thus , the Car price will be always same price as when Lunched it . 4.The car battery will have a warranty that cover for with in 30.000km/ every year , Aging or deterioration of battery will be take care by Dealer for free, if a full charge wont reach over 80%. to have this policy means you can think your car battery is no longer a Burden for the car price , when you consider to selling your Neta. I personally Drove Neta GT ( dual motor trim ), for the lone lont price of 22,6000RMB the price is more cheaper then Domistic build Tesla , the interior is very nice , material is amied at a much high class , all surface are soft material , you wont find any plastic in car . and the material are all vegan leather . im not a big fan of touch screen control, but I guess this is the EV trend for now , Neta GT has the biggest scren thats place vertically , and the build in map has link feature to chinese Tiktok , provide a very unique experiecen when you want to looking for food or entertament , bu showing location tiktok shorts video. Out of all the touch screen control , this car does have 1 pysical control , and that is the Lunch control buttom on center consle . shape of a clear cristal, I like it because its not another figher plane buttom . 3.7 sec of 0-100km/h is fast , the difference for Neta GT is its Single drive system , no gearbox . a direct drive from motor , so the power deliver is seemless , with 4WD and Michelin pilot sports 4 tire , the experience is breath taking fast but with out danger . because the Neta Gt has some seriouse suspension work ,and the battery pack is just 1.8cm thick bolt under the car, not in the car . saw some people take it to drifting , it can handle it well on track . and the 4WD power balance can be 1% each just on the fly . Car size is at middle in current world EV model , almost 2 meter wide ,but the propotion seems great , from visually it dont seem too big, it will be big for a sports car, but right size for a Grand Tour . this isnt a car for everyone ,because the rear seat space isnt great for adult regular use, but it will accommodate person around 165cm or less best . and because of this , there is some compromise for the styling , but I think they want to send this car out for Chinese people to have the currently the only sports EV option on market . who knows what price NetaGT will enter the globol market , for chinese this is a 30,000 USD car that will rival just about any high end sport EV segment .

Count me in too; but lets not suggest a solution as the "future" if it can't be mainstream. Present tech is based on lithium and there isnt' enough produced to be mainstream or much more than a niche. Sodium may be an answer; but it may also have serious problems, it certainly weighs more; which is not great. So many other claims of new chemistries are all over - but - no one seems to bring them to market .. its a big risk and investment. We also need to consider time because even if all vehicles were EVs it would take 12 years to replace all the existing vehicles; and EVs won't be even half the vehicles any time soon.. thus .. we are looking at 20 years .. in 20 years you probably won't be using a car.

As a Tesla Model Y Long Range owner I still miss my gas can - let me explain. Driving an ICE car has over the years had me run out of gas maybe 4 times in 60 years of driving. Some were due to a faulty fuel gage but most were due to our kids driving the car until it ran on fumes and I got in thinking I just gassed up a CostCo last night. Well, calling for help and someone bringing me a gallon of gas got me to the nearest gas station, and all was well. I wish ALL EVs had a removable rechargeable battery that contained 2 KwH of charge that I always carried with me or someone like AAA could come out and put in and I could drive to a nearby charging station. That would be useful...

@@acolon8999 That's great - but it should have been built into all EVs from day one. If you run out of juice now you have to get towed to a charger and I'd bet the driver has never towed an EV and will screw up the car.

@@noleftturns To be fair though mate, you don't get a fuel can & gallon of petrol free with an Ice car, (not in the UK anyway).
