Beautiful. A true Cathedral. When I get to feeling too cocky, I come here in order to listen as to how it should sound .

"Guitar for mortals" was a great, great album - the one one where Adrian's guitar sound is at it's best. "Mrs Jacks last stand" is another beauty - although it deserves a better name :)

Bizarrely, I can play this on guitar. Mr. Legg is brilliant and gracious. I met him several times. Sadly, he didn't visit Chicago his last swing through the US.

Beautiful piece of music. In those days acoustic guitar was all Michael Hedges and Adrian Legg - a real Golden era. At some stage Tommy Emmanuel seemed to decide he was the no 1 acoustic player (which he never was) and a bunch of people supported him in this nonsense. Clive Carroll is pretty good, and I'm sure there are others, but the 80s & 90s were amazing times for acoustic guitar

One of my favorite tunes by Adrian, and 'Guitar For Mortals' is one of the best fingerstyle guitar albums I've ever heard, I got that album when it came out, and have been a 'Legghead' ever since, the thing is, Adrian can do things on the guitar that NOBODY else can! A true innovator, not to mention some of the best tones and sounds to come out of a guitar. I still enjoy Tommy Emmanuel's playing, but I would agree that in a duel, Adrian, IMO, would be champion. His body of work is astounding! Glad that you mentioned Michael Hedges too, another innovator of guitar playing, I have his 'Taproot' album, some of the coolest guitar tunes on there!
