The fact that the royal family didn't take any of these with them when they fled Iran in the midst of the revolution shows how much they loved and respected the history and culture of their country. Shah even returned the jet he flew with to Iran after he fled the country. I'm waiting to see the glorious return of Iran to where it really belongs
@GemsandJewelries5 ай бұрын
True. And because they didn't take them, tourists now have the privilege of viewing these spectacular pieces up close. This is one of the most glorious royal jewels in the world, imo.
@MrWorldcruiser1223 күн бұрын
Bull shit they didnt take it because it was in another place . If you look the Documentary where Farah Diba speaks about her jewlery made Harry Winston for her. Like 7 Tiaras. THey couldnt take it because they just had to flee and the jewlery was in another Palace. Thats the reason. If they had the chance they would have taken every penny. Greedy People first family destroy the royal family before them , Then they fucking destroyed them self to.

Both diamonds (Daria-I Noor and Noor Al Ain) were cut from one large pink diamond probably weighed over 250 carat , which was once placed in the centre of the Mughal emperor throne in India. It was brought to Iran by Nadir shah after invading India.

Beautiful jewelry, but… remember that the Shah Reza was essentially a dictator who overthrew a democratically elected prime minister. And that these pieces have little to no historical significance. Many of the gem stones were/are spectacularly rare and valuable. The so-called coronation of the Shah was an equally expensive party or series of parties for high government officials and royalty from around the globe. I remember that much ado was made of the celebration made of the restoration (if that is a proper word)!of the Peacock Throne.
@ellieshahidi21195 ай бұрын
It has taken over 49 years for the official records of the Shah Reza Oahalis downfall to be exposed and the most horrendous conspiracy of the west to destroy a constitutional monarchy that was modernising Iran at a tremendous speed to be removed and a fanatical terrorist Mulla like khomini flown from France to take over the country. I am shocked to see you repeat the jargon and lies of the time which was produced by BBC and NBC to destroy the best government of Iran and the greatest peace keeping force in the middle east. You can see what has befallen the region since then with the fanatical Islamist in power. The Western gread for getting the OPEC oil for cheap led Carter, Discard D'Estaind and other Western heads aimed to stop Irans raising prices to fund it's development while they kept raising prices of goods Iran needed such as grain. The Shah was and his son prince Reza Pahlavi are still our legitimate and much loved heads. You should learn about the great resistances to the Islamic regime in Iran and call of the people for the return of the Shah. Please update yourself on Iran issues before making a comment that is a repeat of 49 years ago propaganda when there was very limited sources of news and therefore very little transparency in political manipulations at the time .
@ellf53522 күн бұрын
you know NOTHING of history and even less of 2500 year Monarchy of Iran. The King IS THE KING. The prime minister is HIRED by the king and operates at his beckon. mossadegh, being a Ghajar dynasty member (previous dynasty) who despised the king, worked to undermine his government and King Mohamad Reza Shah kicked him out. As the King he had every right to do that and thank goodness because it gave IRan at least 23 golden years before leftists and islamists and carter adm finally toppled Iran and threw her in hell.

Times have already changed, no one is making this kind of thing anymore. The Iranians were probably the last monarchy to produce such elaborate jewels and the Brits blow the dust off their old stuff for special occasions, but what else are you going to do with it?
@sstarklite21815 ай бұрын
Wouldn’t it be great if all nations that have spectacular jewels would find out where each one came from, and then pay the slaves/descendants who dug the jewels out of mines?! But don’t give the money to charities because too much isn’t given to people who really need it. It’s better to put it right into the hands of individuals who are descendants. But that is almost impossible. But we could “redistribute money” equally around the world. Because capitalists think it’s right to give all the money to a few rich people which is insane.
