Sorry? 4 low on bitumen? Unless I am misunderstanding the cutting edge tech, 4 low is still not equivalent to the full time 4x4 setting it offers and should still not be used on hard surfaces? Also, you don't think 4 low was overkill for a suburban street? Lol.
@johnsmith-ub7vr3 ай бұрын
It didn't even engage 4 low, you are supposed to stop and put the transmission in neutral before it will engage 4 low, and yes you shouldn't put a 4wd in low range on a hard surface.

@@johnsmith-ub7vr Im a seventh gen central Australian plumber and historically, cattleman. Have lived directly on a remote beach in FNQ for 23 years. I have only ever owned 4x4s and worked remote my whole life. I wasn't asking about 4x4. Lol. I was asking about the new tech. Where are you, John? Fitzroy? FFs. Lol.

Yes, it was actually a bit funny…she puts in 4-Lo and then in two separate sequences films indicators in the vehicle showing that the system is not going into neither 4WD or Lo. I really like Vicky and her reviews but she should perhaps stay away from off-road vehicles…

I thought I am the only one who got horrified by that. So I came down to comments. I'm also disappointed that she doesn't bother to entertain viewers comments.

As a resident of Bristol, it still baffles me how we won the first ever 'cycling city' award - with roads like Vale Street, gravity vs human makes self-powered transportation something of a novelty.

I had a twin turbo 2 litre diesel turbo for work. I used to do 250 miles per day and I found the seats reasonably comfortable. I managed to get 30 + mpg. With some sensible driving. I used to tow my Turetello F20 box trailer with my 306GTI race car in it. They were great for towing, which surprised me for an auto box vehicle.

Hi Vicki, nice to see that you were not hyper ventilating whilst you were going through these offroady bits, my thought on the new Ford Ranger Wildtrak. I love it, wish it was more affordable, here in beautiful SEZ, it costs about an arm and a leg and more than £45000-/ because our dealerships here seem to like charging people for 100% profit and then they end up blaming the government when members of the public complain. Probably be cheaper if I had the cash to import one myself.

Great review Vicki, you should have taken the Range to Hardknott Pass in the Lake District, which is one of the steepest roads in England, with a maximum gradient of 1 in 3 (about 33%)! 😄Been there myself in a Kia Sorento, it was fun but scary passing other cars in places.

I like Vicki's attention to detail even when reading the script (among other things). When talking about the Goodyears, she goes: "... actually offers a choice of four -slight pause- wheel diameters..." Without that slight pause, viewers would maybe, just maybe, think that she was talking about a four-wheel drive and get confused, and Vicki doesn't want that; do you now Vicki? :)

Thank you so much for doing the review on the Ranger. I really would love to own one. I may just see how the car industry develops through this year. Maybe, oh, say September or so, and then maybe the price will be lower….. well, I can hope. 😊

Absolutely no need to engage any of the 4wd options on that road. Had a Navara for 3 years now, and only used 4wd once on an off-road test day. Unless a vehicle is permanent 4wd you should never use it on hard surfaces.

I had one for 3 years, it was stiff to drive around town, challenging to find a parking spot and expensive to maintain. And slow.. as soon as you load it with marginal weight it slows down dramatically. Things that a lot of reviewers don’t tell you. Was happy to sell it and go back to a traditional wagon as a wagon is more practical and easy to live with. 😊done that and not going back again.. cheers from Oz 🇦🇺
