The new Highland Model 3 Performance actually has up to 615 HP at the battery. You need to navigate to a Supercharger to heat the battery in order to take advantage of the full 615 HP. I ran 2.7 for 0-60 mph and 10.75 for the 1/4 mile with mine. I took the passenger seats out and ran 10.63 @ 127+ mph for the 1/4 mile.

I am a BMW M guy but did get a Model 3 Performance as a daily and BOY do I love it. I also have a '23 Model X and had a 2016 Model S before but this car is phenomenal. It hauls through the canyons much faster than my F80 M3. Of course it's not as much fun as the M3 because of the lack of sound, but as a daily it is unbeatable. The suspension is incredible!

@@corsa-z06 Yeah they really learned a lot from the first one. I couldn't get the car to understeer in the canyons. I was surprised that Parker right away thought that the tires are the limiting factor. I don't disagree but I was blown away by how well the car turns without the tires being pushed over their limit. There must be some trickery going on - like braking the inside rear wheel or something.

Fortunate to keep my E46 with over 330k miles, but if it ever had to go... this is the first/only of many other cars I've owned that wouldn't fully depress me if I had to live with just one. For those who crap on EVs, I get it but they've also never driven/rode in a car like this one.

You can retrofit stalks for the turn signal and shifter for the Tesla S and 3 now. I have already seen a couple used low mile 2024 Tesla 3 Performances for $48K on Car Guru. They're also available new at 1.9%APR through the end of August; and with the $7500 rebate is quite a bargain if you qualify for it. This or the Plaid for the daily driver and a performance gas car for the weekend would be optimal for enthusiasts imo.
