Mike, I was married for 9 years to a man who claimed to be a prophet of God. Once in a while, he hit something that happened. Many more times, it was false. I knew something that people who listened to him did not know, he was medically certified as a Schizophrenic. I stayed with him because I believed the Bible said I couldn't leave. What broke me was him saying,"your not going to like this, but God told me I should have extra wives and concubines!" I didn't take this seriously at first, I thought no women would go for this. Well, much to my surprise, his little cult jumped on this, and several women volunteered for this. Even a woman and her teenage daughter. I left, and he and his cult kidnapped our 6 year old son. The story gets worse, but it is not something I want to share. I have been away from that insanity for decades, but it still haunts me. My warning is to be very careful. They can sound so biblical. Your only defense is to know your Bible.

Culturally, it’s hard to make a case for our nation (or world for that matter), showing any degree of mass repentance or revival that would merit the turning aside of pending judgement. Also, I know of no Biblical examples where God doesn’t update His prophet and makes him, and therein the Word of God look foolish or poorly informed. Brandon seems to get things wrong consistently. God may change His mind based on repentance or sin, but prophets bearing His Word have no place to be anything but inerrant.

This is always a fun debate on who is influenced by spiritual beings and who isn't. In this specific case it seems clear to me he's not influenced by an evil spirit for the following reasons. 1.) You can tell this man wants to be important so badly in his own way including how he constantly begs God for a "new word". These are the exact same types of people who are susceptible to thinking their own subjective thoughts and emotions are from God. Brandon is the type to see a positive stock market forecast on TV, think him seeing that is a message from God, and then he prays on it (after the positive forecast is always in his subconscious), and has a "feeling" that God is confirming this forecast to be true. He fits the profile of someone who easily fall into self deception. 2.) This point is a natural extension of point 1. Evil spirits are not omnipresent and there are a finite number of them. I feel like evil spirits look at people like Brandon and think to themselves, "Why would I waste my time on that guy when he's going to be a train wreck with or without my influence. He might be better at misleading people than I am". 3.) If an evil spirit was behind this, his prophecies would probably actually be accurate to gain even more attention than he already does. 4.) If I put myself in his shoes, if I had an actual OVERWHELMING spiritual vision or prophecy that shook me to my core and then I shared it and it turned out to be false....then I would immediately have dread wash over me knowing I've just been deceived by and evil spirit. I'd have such distrust that even if God came to me in the future I'd be super skeptical whether the revelation was from God because I would know for sure an evil spirit had tricked me before. However, the way Brandon carries himself after failed prophecies gives me the vibe that these experiences of his that he claims to have aren't so different from the voice inside his head (his self). I think he struggles to draw the line on what is his thoughts or God's but he assumes his feelings and thoughts must be valid because he's thinking of these things while in prayer. That goes back to the Bethel idea of "sanctified imagination". Long story short, I think all these clues point towards the sad story of a man who has deluded himself and the true God is as unknown to Brandon as Brandon is to his own self.

The prophecy about the stock market crash in 2013-14 really hits home for me. I remember rededicating my life at 17 years old and being intrigued by the end times, and I was in an eschatology class with people from the same theological camp as this man and they would regurgitate the same information (specifically that the tribulation would begin on Rosh Hosannah 2015) and here I was thinking I was screwed because not only was I a broke 18-year-old but I also thought I would either miss the rapture or go to hell because I was still struggling with old sin patterns. A lot of older friends I knew from this community would stock up on food and always equate any big world event to “oh crap it’s happening we need to get ready” (ISIS was on the rise at this time so people I knew were going buckwild with doomsday prep lol) and everyone saw the end times as something to be fearful of instead of anticipating that Jesus is coming for the Church. Needless to say there was a lot of bad theology I had to unlearn and a lot of religious trauma to heal from. Luckily the Lord kept me safe and sent Godly people my way to show me sound doctrine so that I kept the faith in Jesus and not deconstruct. I say this all to say that bad theology and false prophecy hurts people. My story isn’t really that bad, but I know there’s millions of other people who have endured wayyy worse damage for placing their trust in people like this man rather than Jesus. I genuinely pray this man repents.

The Old Testament definition of a prophet and the New Testament are different. In the Old Testament, they operated in the office of a prophet and spoke to the nation but in the New Testament they operated in the gift of prophecy within the church, but there were very few prophets. Any person who asked a NT gift has to grow and develop it.

Your analysis just seems like semantics to me. His prophecy was still very close to what actually happened. Maybe in his prophetic vision, seeing blood from the ear could have been interpreted as a busted ear drum so that’s what he assumed. Yes, a lot of people made predictions of Trump’s potential attempt on his life, but nobody said the bullet would graze his ear or fly past his ear and he would fall to his knees and survive it exactly as it happened.

He said Trump would drop and get "radically saved" and rise up praising God. He did none of that. And he keeps changing details of the story to match what actually happened. God. Doesn't. Fudge. Details. He and those He reveals things to get it right the first time, every time. He has a history of multiple false prophecies. That alone marks him as not a prophet, as one is all it takes to show you did not hear from God. Deut 18:22. Read it.

I was alarmed because he breezed over the small excerpt from scripture so quickly with no explanation or exegesis. It was almost like he just threw it in there to support his claim of the moment. I find it ironic that people like Brandon will always quote mine prophecies addressed to Israel that are positive but they will never quote mine the prophecies where prophets condemn Israel and foretell their own destruction. I wonder why only one type of prophecies regarding Israel is ever quotemined. 🤔 Lastly, he always talks about new revelation and asking God to speak "new word" to believers but why doesn't his channel ever point back to the actual word of God? I'm not talking about mentioning a Bible verse in passing. I'm talking about if you look at his playlists why are they all about "new word" and prophecy instead of having at least some playlists for verse by verse teaching, theological studies such as the doctrine of the trinity, etc. There is never a primary focus on the scripture yet I can find focuses on crypto, weather, china bombing Hawaii etc. The primary focus is always on anything but the Word.

As a Christian, I pray often. Brandon Biggs has made many rookie mistakes, as his new-found fame takes off. He has admitted to being an imperfect vessel of a perfect Word. It doesn't mean he's a false prophet. He's in the process of learning how to handle pride and humility, and will make mistakes along the way. Have some grace as he learns how to tune in better to the voice of the Holy Ghost. I had subscribed to his channel and watched a lot of his past videos. Amazingly, the Holy Spirit spoke to me many things Brandon had prophesied over 8 months ago. I won't count him as a false prophet, because he's clearly gifted. I count him as a simple (but Godly) man trying to navigate a huge gift, and he will make mistakes. Will we grow offended, critical, or have the grace to see the gift through the mistakes? I pray the Holy Spirit reveals the truth where man may fail. We are to be guided by the Holy Spirit, not man. But God also says He will use the simple to confuse the wise. I'd rather spend my time praying in the Holy Spirit and seeking truth, than listening to someone who will criticize a fellow believer.

I listened to the episode you discussed regarding his prediction of upcoming crash. I still think this is quite likely, but having said that, I got a weird feeling when listening to his prayer at the end of the episode. I know he is a charismatic who is given to effusive prayer but it seemed to go on forever and a thought came into my head that this man is in ego not spirit. I prayed this week for discernment on how to know false prophets and this episode is an answer to my prayer. Thank you. My mom spent THOUSANDS on Jim Bakker food. She was bedridden, depressed, on lots of pharmacueticals and worried about the end of the world. Great point: Matthew 18:15-17 is about personal offenses, not public sins. The false prophetic movement has latched onto this passage to deflect scriptural rebuke, causing their blinded sycophants to use it to defame those who be watchmen and to dismiss the righteous judgement of the errors of the false prophets. By insisting that one should have gone to the false prophet first, this sets up the one who would rebuke and expose their false prophecies to be attacked even as the false prophet works to scrub the record of their false prophecies. I'm so tired of the wresting of that passage of scripture in this regard, and I'm glad that others are saying this.

Disproving this type of garbage has been a study of mine since the middle of April. I've discussed it at length with my husband who agrees with much of what I am saying.
