I personally am still crashing on load into 3 of 4 maps and the 1 I can crashes if you interact with just about anything and am just about done with ark love the game but tired of hearing about new paid content yet hear nothing a out fixing it but just wait for the new update that's getting old

I'm still so sore over that nerf... now I cant use the ones we have as boss dinos, unless I super mutate them, and that ticks me off for how much time I put into them... Oh well. Imo what they should have done is just disable them for pvp servers tbh, ONLY in that ONE way they are OP, and we dont even play pvp (unless two groups agree on a fight). Everyone asking for more content? I feel the base of the game itself needs work first. Performance still needs work. Dinosaur walk around aimlessly with no real direction. (Herds maybe? It was promised the second year of ASE after all) pathfinder AI and dino still clipping into maps when they spawn our you log in. Quality over quantity

I actually like the fact Microsoft is forcing publishers/developers to optimize for the series S. Developers are getting too comfortable with not optimizing games this generation. If we can get amazing open world games on the switch, we can get amazing games on Series S. Lets not forget that Ascended was advertised as having a "80%" performance boost over Evolved. Wild card just does not know how to develop correctly. Its all spaghetti code with no optimization. The Series S is capable enough for this generation.

As an xbox player, crashing is extremely uncommon Ps5 is just poorly optimised, it is likely related to ark being an xbox partnered game so it gets special treatment

@@chriswalter4632 Are you, or have you Ever been in the position where you arent sure where your next meal is coming from? I assume not with a comment like this. Yes entertainment is a privaledge tbh, but that should be allowed to reach ALL homes that want them in our age of tech. A cheaper alternative is sometimes all someone can even dream of getting, and so I applaud Microstink for trying to bring the console to more families this way. However, of course they shouldn't promise smooth, consistent gameplay with games that give even top lvl PCs a run for their money, even on MED settings, if they do that because as we can see with THE beefiest game I've seen to date. THAT imho is where they went wrong; if youre giving out lesser hardware, at least decrease the able games to be played to ones that CAN be played lol They obviously make great 1st hand products, or there wouldnt have ever been a PS vs XBox debate lol or is that just me? I am glad though that many don't reach the point where they can fully empathize with needing cheaper things, I just wish there was a way to "teach" it... and MrJarvisful, we are talking about Microstink here, they have more money to spare than almost any other companies, so that isn't what the move was about I would assume, but to make it accessible to more people as game machines and PCs arent cheap at all. I saved up for just about 10 years, since my last PC, to upgrade to what I have today...

@chriswalter4632 that's not the case , even with the ps4 pro that was released years ago that was better than the than the ps4 in many ways only produced 12 percent of the sales that the ps4 produced. Me personally I have a series s and a pc I recently just started playing a game on my series s the moment it came out with no magor game breaking problems and amazing graphics(atleast for a S). This was the companies first time producing a game like this on this scale. But you telling me after this game had been out for nearly a year and it also being the second iteration of said game is causing this many issues. It doesn't make since to blame it on the console. This is strictly an in-house problem that they are having. Make it even worse it's pretty much just a remaster of a game that came out in 2017 on consoles with worse specs than now. I'm not going to speak on how the original ark ran since I only played it for 5 minutes. Even with this recent release with aberration. They missed their release time twice. Saying it was a publishing problem. I am by no means Saying it's a bad game. Poorly managed game.

I cant even play on The Island map because of Exception Access Violation! Tried everything literally everything, got it working by deleting the save file and starting new, after like 4 hours of playing it happened again.. I can't play Ark without it crashing every hour I'm actually lost of words how bad it is. I've got a really powerful PC well above the requirements.

i crash everyday on ps5 at least 20x an hr or more and it pisses me off to be building and then I go back in the game after I swore I save every 5 min or more which in itself is ridiculous to have all my work not even saved. i spent a lot of money over time in ark on all content and mods I expect better.

How about sorting the kibble fault when taming large meat eating predators,loot drops literally dropping through the floor , taming of the bees, crashing , tamed dinos running in circles when called . The original free maps are being developed by separate people than the original Ark DLC maps so it doesn't have to wait for Extinction unless something else is going on

Microsoft lied about the series s being a "next gen console," I had to upgrade to the series S to stop crashes on ase. Then, I had to upgrade to the X for asa due to same being kicked and lagging in loading zones constantly.

Hmm I’m on ps5 and don’t have this issue…not sure if this would be an influence but check what mode your ps is in and try the opposite, performance v graphical

I'm on ps5 and the crashes was so bad that the game would crash 15times in 30min, making the game unplayable. I have uninstalled the game, cleard the cache and rebuild the database. After reinstall only had 1 crash so far in the last hour. Hope this helps

I'm on Series X and have only ever played ASA on single player. Game keeps crashing whenever I'm breeding, doing meat runs etc. I have a good internet connection. Won't touch any servers, until the game has received the performance update and it works normally on SP.

Same name. I'm on series S able to do everything. Also People say the same for arma reforger, but I kill it and never have problems.

Wildcard just doesn't get it. They have to fix Ark from the ground up, in stead of copy and paste, boosting the graphics, just fix the game. Instead they are in such a hurry to put out a map after map with delays with the same old issues and bugs. Don't worry we are going to patch and make it all better. Still having the same issues from early release. Sadly this will continue with future maps. One day they are going to wake up and no one will be playing any more. It's starting to get old.
