We were missing our starting TE Sam LaPorta. That's why you didn't know any of the TEs. Brock Wright out of Notre Dame an Shane Zylstra out of Minnesota State. Both UDFA. And to think they were panned for taking LaPorta when they did, Jamo when they did, Gibbs when they did, Malcolm Rodriguez, Jack Campbell and Amon-Ra St. Brown sat until the 4th round. Unfortunately they lost LB Alex Anzalone their starting MLB for probably the rest of the regular season after already losing starting SAM LB Derrick Barnes for the season, so that LB depth is going to come in to play. If we had our full starting defense, EDGE Aiden Hutchinson, EDGE Marcus Davenport, DL John Cominsky, LB Derrick Barnes, LB Alex Anzalone and nickel safety Iffy Melifonwu this team would be lights out. Got a little back signing DE Za'Darius Smith who is close to Hutch, but Hutch is still leading in many defensive categories and hasn't played since week 6. Dude was going to be DPOY.

Lions lost to the Bucs in game 2 of the season. It was a weird game, they had Goff throwing over 50 times and some mistakes were made. Since then, the Lions settled into a rhythm of what works for them, and so far, it's been nothin' but wins.
