I really hope Jaune stays old, and plays the mentor role. There are mentors in the series, but none that feel like a Master Splinter or Iroh.

I would love that plus Jaune who experinced a lifetime now with his young peers shows they have an elder that truly understands them which is weird as he was technically born around the same time they were. It just adds so much value to their interactions.

They won in the finale of V5 and V6. Those were way happier endings than V3. V3 had important cast members dying, school getting destroyed, comms tower getting destroyed, all the main cast split up and sent away from each other.

I have lost all interest in what was originally a fantastic show, without Monty its fallen off hard, and no one can tell me they had this all planned, they didnt, they at most had a few seasons talked about, not his far and you can tell. It’s just standard, passable shit now. Forgotten the original plot line entirely and made its own.

I wish they had this creativity from the bigining I mean from volume 1 to 3 every side character had crazy hair color and unique weapon I mean one guy has a trumpet as a weapon every sense Monty died the creative team had been doing basic lame side characters so seen this volume help the show with the characters design

@Tim Lerch yeah it doesn't progress the plot but rather the creator is just trying a new concept like they always have and probably forget about it or use books to fill in the gap. The writing has always been average to bad. Assuming I don't understand plot structure or how to properly write and develop characters and interactions speaks a lot about yourself. I was just being observant on the left turn the show did as a way to try to change up the formula and somewhat attempt to slow down the story to fill in the character depth they glossed over the last few seasons.
