I love the trio 6’s these are my forever monitors. Well worth the one time investment. Never know what you are missing if you can’t hear it. The room will have a huge impact on what you hear and how you hear it. I went with the argosy stands that have the built in isolation pad.

I just “downgraded” my monitors from Barefoot Micro mains to Focal solo6 ST6. The Focals were meant to be a second pair, but now they’re my main pair and mixes are so much better. Best way I can describe is that the barefoots make you concentrate on the extremities, like the bottom and top end. Focals make you concentrate on the mid range where all the heart is. Genuinely excited to work again because of the Focals. Couldn’t recommend highly enough and I’ve had everything from, amphion, quested, PSI, barefoot, geneloc etc

Great content as always, was wondering if you were worried about the potential spread of beryllium dust in the tweeter in the Focal Trios? That's the only thing that has kept me away from these monitors.

As far as I read, the beryllium used in these monitors is not harmful because of the way it’s been processed.

I just watched your video on the Fluid Audio Image 2's how do these compare to those? I watched Colt's vid on the Trio11 BE and seems like the Trio line might be the step in the right direction for producing without getting a flippin sub, but those Image 2's seemed really cool. Do you feed then with digital or analog signal ? Do they have standby mode and turn on when they sense signal and turn off again. Can you connect 1 Focal sub 12 directly to them ? Are they fast ?

1. ANALOG 2.These new ones have a switch to engage and disengage the standby mode unlike their predecessors 3.YES 4.YEAH 5.YES . This new version is also now on par with the midrange of ATCs. Surprised no one answered till now.

Those are not 8 inch they are 6 inch. Trio6 be means 3 way, 6 inch, berylium. Also - they sound much better when put on their sides.
