I just did my PM routine and used the Happier Barrier cream. :) It has fast become one of my favorite creams of all time. This brand never disappoints me. I had high expectations to begin with, but that cream... so good. I have oily skin, but I am tret user. And because of winter + low humidity at my apartment, this HA-free moisturizer hits just the right spot for me. It is surprisingly hydrating and that hydrated feeling lasts long. I think it is one of those creams that would suit all skin types. Just need to pick AM/PM + the right season, depending if you are oily or dry. Bought also their Hydration cream, but have not opened it yet.

I know this is an older video, but I thought I might leave a comment for anyone who was like me and couldn't find a moisturising cream that didn't make them "sweat" water right after the application. I've tried A LOT of different creams, gels, mists, what have you, but after I tried Hydration Station I could literally cry. Finally, a moisturising cream that didn't make water beads on my face after the application, didn't make me feel suddenly hot, and didn't feel slippery and tacky after a while, like so many creams with hyaluronic acid did before. If you recognise yourself in these lines, give it a try, it might just blow your mind ;) I pair it with Vit C and Azelaic Acid serums from G&G too and it works beautifully for my sensitive combination skin with rosacea.

Your skin looks amazing ❤️ Sometimes I also don't use a moisturizer under my SPF in the summer especially because I reapply the SPF more often then. In the winter I do use a thin layer of moisturizer under it though.

Sounds interesting. I may have to invest in the high shipping rate to try out. Hi from Australia

The Australian online retailer called The Formula carries it (I think) so the shipping is free (over $65) or much cheaper.

@@Alice-oe4kd I think it is best that they don’t because they keep prices down by being direct to consumer. If they started selling on third party retailers, those companies could be taking 70% of the profits and their would be price increases. Like The Ordinary has to raise prices to pay for those losses and the advertising costs, since they started advertising instead of relying on word of mouth

Hi! Thanks for the video. Should I be concerned using the happier barrier with squaline if I am also using the ordinary retinol in Squaline. Would that be an overload of the ingredient that is?

No, it isn't an ingredient you can have to much of like you can with so called actives.

Hello, I have skin that gets dry (even gets flakes) but is oily as well, like there is a layer of oil on top of everything. Should I get Happier Barrier or Hydration Station then. I am planning on using it in the morning after my vit c, and at night before my retinal.
@DoctorAnne Жыл бұрын
I would personally opt for Hydration Station if you plan using it in the mornings, but both would be fine. Do you use hydrating serums?
@pixelnotfound5805 Жыл бұрын
@@DoctorAnne Thank you very much for taking the time to respond! I get dry skin after using retinal and hydration station, but it becomes a lot less dry after 30 minutes. Is this normal or should i use a stronger moistirizer. Because I thought maybe using hydration station in the morning, and Happier barrier after retinal, because its made for dryer skin and therefore stronger

My favorite winter moisturizer is Paula's Choice Resist Intensive Repair cream. I ordered another one at 20% off today. It has ceramides, peptides, antioxidants and retinol in a substantial cream. My skin really took a beating with a colder than normal winter this year. This cream fixes that. (Also, cutting WAY back on tretinoin from nightly to one or two nights a week, helps.)

It is SO COLD here as well, we usually don't have that temperatures until mid-January. We even had snow that stayed for a few days.

@@DoctorAnne this is true. I think this is why I am not particularly motivated to swap any of my skincare. My most recent addition was No 7 1% retinol in place of tretinoin. With the weather and laser and stress, my skin can’t really handle the tretinoin. The 1% retinol does sting at first. Still can’t go near my eyes or neck. I could use tretinoin on my neck but retinol makes it so itchy and dry
@DoctorAnne Жыл бұрын
@@moose8762 That is weird. Do you think it is the carrier that causes that?

@@DoctorAnne tbh, I stopped using it on my neck and eyes and my neck still gets itchy and my eyelids sensitive to touch, so not sure if the moisturiser is spreading it or if there is a different cause. I just assumed that 1% of retinol is a much higher % than 0.025% tretinoin and just the amount of ingredient might be irritating. The sensation is like eczema but with no redness/cracked skin.
