@@stx7389 It feels oilier (I'd say, maybe others would describe it as tackier), but I didn't find it harder to pair. Many people don't like to pair Copper peptides with acids or retinoids in the same routine, but I don't think there is anise if you wait between products.

I´m really liking this serum as well The texture of it is so nice and silky. I did like NIOD copper peptides serum too, which was super thin and watery and I used that one right after cleansing, before toners. I plan to buy it during slow november again, but at full price I cannot afford it. G&G peptide serum I use after toner, before moisturizer. I plan to reorder it definitely

Thank you Dr Anne! A peptide serum without oiliness sounds intriguing. Currently I have some acne that won't go (I'm suspecting fungal acne) and can't handle lot of oily products which is a challenge with regards to SPF as well. I really wonder though if a topical ingredient, even if encapsulated, can reach the fibroblasts.

I just ran out of my Timeless Skimcare’s Matruxyl Synthe 6 (which also contains Matrixyl 3000 & HA). I found it left a soapy consistency on skin (possibly how it reacts to following the NIOD SDSM Mist but maybe not as someone else mentioned this) and was never sure it absorbed. I wanted to try the G&G Power Peptides until I heard numerous reviewers mention the tacky texture it leaves behind. (No one had mentioned if this goes away when it dries?) I apply my serum before a thin moisturizer, 15% Azaleic acid gel and Altreno (Tretinoin lotion) followed by a thicker moisturizer so if the tacky feeling the G&G leaves behind is going to keep products from gliding smoothly on my skin after it, that would be a deal breaker for me. Do you use any products like I do after Power Peptides and if so, do you find that they don’t glide on smoothly and get stuck in the tackiness? I’m looking for other pm serum options if so but haven’t found one with Matrixyl Synthe 6 & copper peptides. Theramid makes an Unencapsulated 3% copper peptide serum but I’m really not looking to have to layer that with another moisturizer before my tretinoin, which is what No BS Beauty does to avoid issues. (I know you mentioned this in your video, but what I got from kind of Stephen’s message was that encapsulated copper peptides are not an issue but I don’t remember him speaking about unencapsulated ones. Theramid doesn’t recommend using encapsulated CP in the same routine as Tretinoin but I think most companies say this to protect themselves in case someone’s skin is sensitive. Sorry, I know that was a ton of information. I look forward to hearing back from you, Dr Anne.

Interesting observation about the Timeless serum. I am in the process of testing it (alongside their Matrixyl 3000 one) and found them to absorb quite well without a soapy texture. I do layer as little products as possible though in my personal routine (don't have time for that), so maybe that is the issue? I followed the Geek and Gorgeous Peptides up with different products and all did glide on smoothly, but silicone based formulations would more easily pill, which is why I used it at night. I used it directly after cleansing and followed up with a moisturizer (The Inkey List Supersolutions Urea one at that time if I am not mistaken) and then used my Tretinoin on top without any issues.

@@DoctorAnne pretty sure the MS6 soapy effect was a result to reacting to my something in the (overpriced) NIOD SDSM2 mist. I definitely don’t think I used too much of the serum because the bottle actually came half empty from timeless. It was the first time I got a half empty bottle from them, so I was very careful not to use more than two droppers full.. Very frustrated because I misread the ingredients on the NIOD And thought it had HA in it which timeless is telling me I need it a mist in order for the serums to be absorbed. Actually, I think they’re just trying to sell their missed that happens to have HA in it. So many of my products have HA in them that I can’t imagine buying another serum just for HA but if this over priced $52 NIOD mist isn’t helping my products absorb and it’s simply causing one of my serums to react with a soapy film, then I really got scammed. I don’t know what to do at this point because geek and gorgeous finally got their power peptide serum in on the same day. I found out that my serum has no HA in it. I was going to purchase there an expensive facial toner mist to aid absorption but it doesn’t have HA in it either! They sell a serum that does, but I really don’t wanna be buying yet another serum. I have medical issues and I’m on disability and I have a sick, elderly dog, so I need to be very careful where I put my money and so far, I feel like I’ve made a lot of bad decisions with products. Is it your understanding that amidst needs to have HA in it, in order to aid in the absorption of serums that follow? I dampen my face, spray on the mist, and follow with my serums. In the morning, I follow with moisturizer and Chemical l sunscreen. In the evening, I follow with thin moisturizer w/HA, AzA 15% gel, Altreno Tret Lotion and a final thick layer of moisturizer.

@@ScoobyDoosMom I am sorry your bottle came half empty, that is really upsetting as the product isn't that cheap. Quite frankly, I don't think you need to add Hyaluronic Acid to make the products absorb better, let alone buy a facial spray for that reason only! Hyaluronic Acid is abundant in so many products already, I personally just use it if it comes with extra benefits, but rarely as a dedicated HA product. And it is listed in the ingredients of the Timeless Synthe´6 anyway, so there already is HA present. My suggestion would be to eliminate layers, so leave your face damp after cleansing, apply the serum and follow up with moisturizer. What I don't understand is why you use a moisturizer, then AzA, then Tret and then another layer of moisturizer? Why the double moisturizing?

@@DoctorAnne thank you so much for the prompt response. I’m happy to explain. I started using a thinner moisturizer before tretinoin as it is a buffer for my skin. Many people also find it’s a great way to keep your skin from getting irritated from tretinoin so that you have to stop. I recently increased from .025, cream to .05 but with the Altreno brand Tret lotion, which I prefer so much more. It just goes on much more smoothly than the cream and is much less irritating but since I am on a stronger dose, I have found that that first layer of moisturizer keeps my skin from getting too irritated from it. I use azelaic acid as it was recommended that it works very well with tretinoin; I don’t have oily skin or anything but I got it to help with sunspots and also because I’ve read and listen to Dermatologist say that that AzA & Tret together really help each work more effectively. The final layer of moisturizer is to really hydrate my skin. I understand this is the sandwich method, and some people only use it when they start. At some point, I may stop using the first layer of moisturizer. I’m starting to develop an irritation to niacinamide in the CeraVe light pm moisturizer and the thicker nighttime cream. I used to be able to use it on my face, and under my eyes. Now I absolutely cannot use an under my eyes; I believe it’s the niacinamide that makes it feel like it’s burning. I noticed the other day that I felt the same way with a PM light cream for the first time but it hasn’t happened again. I’m looking at alternative moisturizers that don’t have niacinamide. Skin fix moisturizer is one option that doesn’t have niacinamide, although they’re gel version does. But I’ve read mixed reviews on that; apparently, the reformulated version is better, but he really doesn’t have the peptides that it claims to have when you look at the ingredient list. I see your point about the MS6 having hyaluronic acid in it, and not needing a serum with that in it as well, before it. But as far as my morning routine, I follow the NIOD SDSM2 mist (which apparently has an ingredient, which is a natural form of HA but I’m not sure if it helps with the absorption of future products) and then follow with the timeless 20% vitamin C, serum, followed by their Matruxyl Synthe 6. I don’t think the vitamin C serum has sodium hyaluronic in it, but I’m not sure if this makes it absorb as well as the non-sodium version of hyaluronic acid, would. I’m not sure how great this NIOD SDSM2 mist that was so highly recommended by many You Tubers, is working at helping the serums absorb. I need to find a mist to use when I run out of this. Geek and gorgeous is one is so small and it doesn’t have hyaluronic acid in it. I know it’s possible that just damp skin will absorb the serum’s. There’s also the thought process that sirens can’t get through the skin barrier due to the Dalton Rule so, who really knows? Maybe one day we will know for sure. I just wish I knew with this natural form of hyaluronic acid in my serum, worked, as well as the real thing to help serums absorb.
