You wanna know something creepier about that red being with the see through mouth? Those footsteps you heard on the grass while you were chopping the tree was him running up behind the tree you were chopping, it didn't spawn there. It actively hid behind that tree and waited till you finished chopping it down. That might be a mechanic that it does, it probably stalks you, like someone hiding behind a corner waiting to jump at you.

My one complaint with the sanity mod is swimming tanking sanity as fast as it does, or at all really, it made sense in don't starve, the game it's based off of, because there's no swimming in that and rain is treated as an obstacle. It's a great concept that I think needs some elbow grease to fit into minecraft better

What give and takes sanity can be configured. Water as a source of negative sanity can be disabled or even made to do the opposite. It is very annoying as a default setting. Touching any water, even at foot level, causes negative drain.

The sanity mod is a problem not because of the effects of going insane it's actually because no matter what U do U go insane and it screws up the screen

yeaaaah and he doesn't know how to actually properly restore sanity outside of the garland, eating, and sleeping, but because of The Anomaly (that red-eyed steve lookin mf), Calvin won't be able to properly sleep. If you sleep enough times, The Anomaly gets pissed off and enters it's "kill phase" where it can actually hunt you down, AND you are prevented from properly sleeping via drowning damage when you try, as you saw in the video. So either Calvin needs to figure out a way to recover sanity through different ways (and there are different ways to do that), the screen will keep being messed up.

The spawners are from Quark, it also adds a lot of useful things. And the creeper not exploding until you look at it is from a mod I can’t remember the name for it. If you like building you might want to add Chipped. Also please Calvin there is a dynamic trees and biomes of plenty compatibility mod that patches the trees into the terrain generation.
