Thanks for the video Julius. So for iFrame testing, I am assuming we have to keep two instances of preview and debug mode which will redirect to two instances of the same page? ( One for the parent and one for the child)

Now the only problem is that I can see the changes when I view it in Preview Mode but after publishing it the Javascript doesn't get fired at all in the site. New changes won't show up on the site even if it's the 'Latest & Live version'.

Hi there! I'm trying to understand Google Tag Manager better and trying to figure out why my data isn't right in GA and Search Console. I have hired people to do Tag Manager set up for me in the past. In looking at GTM I now see that I have 2 containers loading for each page view event and I see a message of API call data layer push with a developer ID. Is this normal? In your video, I don't see 2 containers loading or the message with the API call. Thank you. I find Google Tag Manager to be super confusing!

Hi Julius thanks for this video, I´ve just learned some GTM introduction last year, and then realize it was changed... I have a question maybe it will be interesting: Due to RGPD (in Europe), pixels can´t be installed on the header of a web unless customer accepts cookies. So, how can we handle this using GTM? Usually compliance plugins are the ones that installs the pixels (facebook, g. analytics, etc) on the web.... Is it possible to use GTM and cumply with the RGPD law? How do that? Thanks in advance

Nothing prohibits installing scripts in the header. The thing is that if they process personal information, that must be done with consent. There are many things to explain here (that go way beyond the scale of a comment). This is great info! Now I'm in a bit of pickle here: tracking on my Wix websites are no longer working after the update. For whatever reason, the home page is the only page popping up in the preview mode. Everything was working fine on Thursday but now I'm at a total loss. Nothing I do seems to work. Can you help?

Nice video thanks. One thing that stil confuses me me is how to refresh the container. In the old version of GTM you had to hit the refresh button when you made a change. But this is now gone. How do I refresh the container when I make a change. Do I hot to stop debuggin and start debuggin again? Seems very inconvenient :(

You have to click the Preview button once again in the GTM interface and after that complete all the steps that the interface requires. Inconvenient but I think this will be fixed soon.

How do we share preview mode for other people to see (before we would just click on "share preview mode" in the orange banner and get a link to share)? I clicked on an old share preview link someone sent me a couple of days ago and I see that instead of tags and variables it just shows "hits sent" which includes the tags that have fired, but there's no way to look at tags that have not fired, making it hard to troubleshoot tags that are not firing... Is this normal? Or did it just happen because the preview link I clicked was an "old" one?

I had the trigger configured to fire on click URL which was not unique for this one site so I had to set another rule which is page url. All values/variables were correct, but the trigger just did not fire. I have managed to resolve this with click text which was unique for each up sell. It seems like setting more than just one rule for the trigger is not working.

Wow, that's some brand-new content! I'm having a problem with the new Debugger, maybe you can help me out: While debugging is activated, the Tag-Assistant tells me the Tag-Manager is installed TWICE. Once i deactivate it, it tells me the Tag-Manager is not installed at all. But this CAN NOT be the case, because I have gotten perfectly fine Analytics tracking data via Tagmanager so far and nothing chanced concerning the installation. Anybody with the same Issue?

Hi, 1. Try exiting the preview mode and launching it one again 2. Try publish the container and then see if that helps. If this helped, then try doing some new changes in the container and see if you can see them in the preview mode after clicking the "Preview" button once again. This is LITERALLY the worst update I've seen with GTM. For instance, after entering the URL and clicking "start", the URL page is launched in Debug mode, but tag assistance is unable to connect to the site. So on one hand, you have successfully launched the debug window, and on the other, tag assistant is saying there is no connection to the container. Not sure how that's possible...
