@@BenHardyCars very true. The GX wasn’t tailored to the buyer who plans to go rock crawling. Granted it’s more capable than most other luxury SUVs. Collectively, the Germans only have the G Wagon that can keep up with the fancy Prado.

Its 70 grand because the value of the dollar dropped. The dollar is no longer worth the same as it was say 10 years ago. 2014 $1 = $1.33 today. Thats a huge drop in value.

I like the GX 550, but $70k is too much for it. The broncos, jeeps etc are not a good comparison because those are wayyyyyyyyyyyy overpriced for sure. $70k is a lot of money

70k for a well equipped GX is pretty reasonable in today’s market. The smaller RX 500h trim starts at that price, just to compare. But I agree that no middle of the ground bronco or cherokee deserves that price point.
