The new HSR Tajfun hay crane

Developed from practical experience for practical use: the completely new HSR Tajfun crane design exceeds every expectation of this new, revolutionary technology. This crane series makes the previously impossible possible. It is now possible to lift a round bale lying on its side with the arm lowered vertically at 90° and to stand it up cylindrically at 90°.
Specially curved prongs prevent scratching along the ground and hay-drying floor grids being damaged even when the grapple is two-thirds open, for example. With the right handling even the piercing of ventilation ducts can be minimised.
The finer aspects of joystick control can be adjusted with just the click of a mouse to meet the customer’s individual requirements.
The central suspension of the crane arm ensures the highest level of operating comfort, incomparable statics and an especially quiet cabin. The cabin is to the left of the crane arm with the hydraulics and engine fitted to the right of the crane arm, separated from the cabin.
With a crane arm that has been tried and tested a thousand times over in the timber industry and the new design, we once again live up to the slogan "from farmers for farmers". The first crane, the HSR 1260, which was first presented with this new design at the Agro Alpin 2014 trade show in Innsbruck, was the basis for the development of the subsequent series. This crane has already completely emptied the 130-animal hay barn of our demonstration facility twice and completely filled it again once in the 2015 season.
The findings from this extensive test phase formed the basis for the new crane series. This means that customers don’t have to pay the costs of development, we do. Specialist Gilles Gruber from France, who has been selling, installing and servicing cranes for the past 26 years, took the new crane for a test drive on Friday, 19 February 2016. His enthusiasm was palpable and was confirmed with the words "you can really tell that this machine was built by someone who actually drives it in real life".
