In my experience (cough cough personal opinion subject to change) I think: ♠Snake and Ness don't lose to Ike that granted ♠Villager has more options than Isabelle to put him at least a tier above ♠Sheik destroys Ike in neutral but is not consistent enough to put her in a tier different to ZSS ♠I do see Bowser as a possible thread but not as much as Min min , Roy or Diddiy. ♠I see R.O.B. advantages over Ike , but his disadvantage state is very bad against Ike's sword and as long as you avoid their giro-d tilt- grab game , the 0 to death and you use giro against them you should find a way. ♦Finally... I strongly believe Pikachu and Wolf are -2 ( Pikachu is debatable but Wolf isn't for sure ) -Just my opinion on this and hope to see the Diddy on a tournament soon , peace!!

I think the M2 Ike matchup is even tbh. Ike has to approach due to SB. I have never really felt like Ike destroys M2.

I gotta friend who mains Mewtwo. I’ll say that I do EXTREMELY well when I have advantage but Shadow Ball makes it really hard for me. I’d say we’re pretty good players, at least not trash.

Tbh I think the lucas mu is slight winning for ike. Lucas actually has really bad oos possibly even worse than greninja’s oos. N-air doesn’t cover his whole body, the hitbox is bad and it’s start-up is pretty slow for it’s range (you can probably also low profile it with d-tilt or up-tilt though I am not sure but you can still jump over or backdash even when poorly spaced). He also gets juggled a lot and when he go to ledge then he gets ledgetrapped. Ike also outranges lucas and while lucas has pk-fire, it still has slow start-up, it only goes horizontally and can also be cancelled out by stuff like f-tilt or b-air. And lucas also doesn’t have the greatest burstoptions.

just wanna give my thoughts on Jr Ike I think its either even or Jrs favour bc of jrs rly good anti-air game and advantage state vs ike,, as well as jrs ability to just hold rapid jab at ledge and fuck over aether. what makes the mu possibly even tho is that jrs disadvantage state is very poor and can get juggled for so long and struggles to get off of ledge vs ikes range

As an Ike main I cannot fathom why you would ever put PacMan as +1, Pika as even, or Snake as +1. None of the top Ikes even do well against any of those matchups in tournament settings and its even more cancer on a casual level. I do like that we agree on how awful Diddy vs Ike is tho

I'm late but I would like to point out that can't Bowser just neutral b ikes side b to interrupt it,forcing the opponent to either airdodge or jump,since Bowser can just f smash ike up b,which relying on airdodge to recover everytime is not good,I'm just asking,you can correct me if you want,I just had an idea.

If Aether’s utility offensively and defensively is your only argument for Ike not being honest, then idk what to really say. . . His neutral and advantage state is still very linear (though he makes up for it by hitting hard) but through and through Ike relies only on fundamentals no fancy tech, no obnoxious gimmicks, no meters, no comeback mechanics, no “zero to death” combos, no RNG. He isn’t Luigi He isn’t ROB He isn’t Joker (the list goes on) but you get my point He’s the Zhao Yun of Smash Bros.
