Whitesnake (John Sykes era) is my favourite 80's band, the cheesy chorus intros, the agresive riffs and the creamy sustained solos is the best combo ever. Still Of The Night has to be the best 80's song

Hi my name is Nick. I’m 14 years old . I have been playing guitar since I was 4 years old. My favorite 80’s band is White Lion. Vito Bratta had/has such a unique as well as an innovative sound and guitar playing style. There was so much music and talent in his guitar playing alone. Sometimes when listing to them, I get so entranced into Vitos playing I can almost forget there is a whole band behind him. LOL. I wanted to add that. I have an awesome shirt that has a picture of Vito and the shirt says, Missing: last seen Sep. 2, 1991in Boston MA. Have you seen me? Call masters of shred.

I couldn't choose, between motley crue, poison, gnr, or Metallica. But as a kid, like 12 years ago i was like 5 or 6 years old, my dad bought me a compilation dvd of 80s bands and the band that I really loved up until now is Mr. Big. Plus my english teacher that also teaches me to play guitar also loves Mr. Big so we had that cool connection, he would share some paul gilbert licks and we'd jam "to be with you" in the classroom while on lunch time. I would finish my school tasks, quizes etc. so we could talk about music and my classmates would thank me for that, the conversation will be endless lmao. Thank you Sir Robert Baker, your video made me go back to the fun times!

My favorite 80’s band has to be Iron Maiden. They have great songs after great songs. Dave and Adrian are an amazing duo, Nicko McBrain is a beast, Harris is a great song writer, and Bruce has the voice of a god.

The Kramer Nightswan was originally the signature guitar for Vivian Campbell. Besides the unusual pickup arrangement, it was also different for its ebony fretboard, mahogany body, and the fact that it has a 24 3/4” scale length. All rather unusual for a super strat type of guitar, but not so odd when you realize that Vivian Campbell was (and still is) primarily a Les Paul Custom player. Essentially, they hid a Les Paul Custom in an 80’s style shred machine.

Mötley Crüe has to be my favourite 80’s band. The power in the song aspires me to play my guitar even better. As someone who started playing guitar 1.5 years ago Mick Mars his riffs are amazingly fun to play, even more fun to play on a Kramer since Mick used multiple Kramers

I can never really decide which was my favorite '80s band. I mean, there were so many great ones! Dokken, Ratt, Whitesnake, David Lee Roth Band, White Lion, Lillian Axe, Van Halen, Keel, Judas Priest, Scorpions, Quiet Riot, Steel Heart, Poison, Bullet Boys, Guns 'n Roses, Greg Howe Band, Europe, Slaughter, Def Leppard, LA Guns, Vinny Moore, Stryper, Tony MacAlpine, Yngwie Malmsteen, Autograph, Twisted Sister, Ozzy Osbourne, Extreme, Bon Jovi, Warrant, Kix, Trickster, Dio, Motley Crue, Queensrÿche, Metallica - just to name a "couple"! Lol!! (But no kidding... this was my world back then! Loved 'em all!)

As a kid who grew up in the 80s it’s really hard to pick one fave. I mean in 1980 alone British Steel, Blizzard of Ozz, Back in Black, Ace of Spades, Heaven and Hell, and Iron Maiden were all released. And it got better as the 80s progressed. Judas Priest was the band in the 80s for me without a doubt. But Dave Meniketti and Y&T were a very close second! Great, great band.
