Thanks for the tutorial, Rich. I had asked you about this exact update issue under a different video, yesterday. I am glad you made a whole tutorial about this update issue. I was "temporarily" getting around the issue this morning by duplicating text and creating two separate layers. One layer for "fill" and the other layer for "line." Then just overlaying the line layer over the fill layer. This "work-around" requires a few extra steps, but it worked great. However, I like being able to create multiple steps in one layer now after the update. Way cool! 👍

I really can't help you in a KZbin comment, especially not knowing anything about your setup. I do have a forum where you can find help: lahobbyguy.com/bb/

How does this affect older programs?
@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure yet.

@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy I thought you are one of the testers, you mean you never opened up an old program to test compatibility?
@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy2 жыл бұрын
@@jf6720 If you mean have I opened an older file? Yes, I have. I don't see any differences except in the layers.

@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy Just wondering if we will have to change something in our old programs or will they still run the way they are?

How much is Lightburn?
@TheGuitarman19682 жыл бұрын
@Marie Wood. Lightburn is $60 for a lifetime user license key that never expires. However, you have to pay $30 a year if you want to continue to get software updates and support. The user license allows you to use Lightburn on 2 separate computers simultaneously. However, Lightburn has been known to let you use it on 3 computers if you ask nicely. I hope this helps answer your question.🙂

$60 for Gcode for Diode & $120 for DSP for Co2 Marie. $30 annual renewal if you want updates. If you already have the Gcode version, it's only $60 to upgrade to the DSP. lightburnsoftware.com/collections/frontpage
No time for translations lately, sorry. I'm a one-man show.

@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy Thank you for your continuous effort, but I was surprised that all of your videos contain automatic subtitles, except for this video that does not contain subtitles, and this is sad for many.
@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy2 жыл бұрын
@@al.mujazef It takes time to generate the subtitles. They'll probably be there tomorrow.

Wish LB would have Tabs so I could open multiple design pages at once, but not have multiple LB programs open.

I’m really starting to watch your videos. Lightburn intimidated me for awhile, then I said I’ve got to get into it. I’m used to operating industrial cnc machines but never design software. Watching your video this morning also, I was able to make a multi layer design. All thanks to you Rich. Keep up the great videos

meh... I have to disagree. The additional tabs in the cut settings editor may be more powerful, but this isn't EASIER for people who just want/need Line and Fill. Now, instead of simply changing one drop down, we have to go in and manually create a Line and a Fill setting. That is literally more steps which equals not easier :)
@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is, but the purpose isn't to replace line + fill. I have a lot of projects that are 3, 4, or 5 different layers, and this is what it's really for.

Do yoy have a simple video that just shows how to cut something out. Just a basic cut proceedure. I don't see a way to cut anything, the machine just engraves. ???
