I prefer the legacy Outlook Tasks. You can type notes inside the task, insert sent e-mails inside the task, or insert files in the task. Much more versatile.

Same here. I've used Outlook Tasks for years but recently trying Notion as Microsoft pushes new apps like above.

This is great. Could you put together a tutorial for how to use all the portfolio management tools available via a Project Plan 5 license? Additionally, if you can incorporate how to set up a "dashboard" that allows for viewing of all ongoing projects and accessing them via the dashboard?

The problem is that someone from your team, who has access to adding tasks to your planner, can accidentally delete your other tasks.

Hi, great video just a few questions. Happy for anyone to answer: I want to create a plan that: Has all of our annual business housekeeping tasks i.e. Insurance Renewals, Board Meeting Calendar, Items to be presented in board meetings i.e. Policy & Procedure reviews/updates in Jan for Presentation for approval at Feb Board meeting etc . . . Includes 4 people. Accountant and 2 x partners. Accountant has teams but does not use it, gets irritated when people message them in there because "Another App" 2 x Partners use teams but have so much happening may not pay attention to everything 'beeping' at them but will be controlled by items in their outlook calendar, Me, Just want the work done without spending my days chasing. 1) How do I get the tasks in Planner to show up in their outlook calendar without them having to come into teams to look at another calendar? 2) If this is a Premium function - a) do we all have to have Premium Licence or b) can the controller just have a premium licence? 3) If this is not the solution is there something attached to Outlook I can do this with? I am just starting to use ms 365 and setting up Teams and outlook for a new startup I founded. I am a bit frustrated with it especially on the annoying login process. They also have classic outlook and new outlook but new outlook doesn’t have all the features that classic has. It look like they have done the same with basic planner and premium planner. I thought it made sense to stick to a single ecosystem but I am thinking that might not be the case. It might be better and more productive to pick specific products regardless of who the developer is as long as they have an good integration with the other platforms. On paper microsoft office looks great with all the apps they have but I am encountering a lot of frustrations especially when dealing with login issues I am encountering.

Planner is a task/to do check list ticketing system. In this video it seems that Ms promises Planner to evolve to a real project management tool however this "basic"/"premium" dynamic is really annoying and Microsoft is making again a big positioning mistake. If MS really wants to have a winner, call it Project in Teams, include all functionalities, integrate with Outlook and offer the best possible user experience...Planner may be good for K12 teachers and school assignments but in the corporate world it is really not a robust tool, not even with co Pilot integration

I LOVE planner but for years, there’s an issue with alerts. The checkbox unchecks itself and even when checked alerts done come through consistently. Opened ticket and they said it’s on their roadmap to fix. Otherwise I LOVE it still

No, there is no concept of assigning a primary resource.

I have Project and Planner 3, and don't see Checklist items in the Board view, and there's no "Show on card " option. Any idea why that might be happening? I also don't see a way to add holidays to my calendar.

Premium Plan has added features but it is frustrating that the most basic features that are available in Basic Plan are not available in Premium!! I'm talking about Recurring tasks, adding plans to Loop, Team’s activity notifications for tasks, etc. RIDICULOUS!
