Technically 98wh is within the legal limit of battery sizes for commercial passenger airliners, I'm pretty sure 99wh per device is the limit (might even be able to relabel a 180wh theoretically)

I like the Mten3 because you can hop on public transportation with it in your backpack and then when you get off you can ride the wheel for the last (or first) leg of your trip. So me it isn't about play, it is about filling a niche in the commute. It is also a much better shape for putting in a backpack.

exactly! But also: Where I work I have to park at some distance from the actual place where I work. So having a wheel like this in the trunk, or frunk... if it fits, Would be nice!

I think some guys from Begode forgot to water some of the Master Pro motors, and the motors didn't grow enough, and the Begode people were sorry to scrap them, therefore they decided to make Mten Mini 🤔

My smallest wheel is great on the orchard, perfect. Watering trees. Fire wood log lugging. Small wheels make great farm hack, my 5c opinions.

Can't help but compare this to my NineBot One E+ of which I have two and still going strong (2016). The Ninebot has a 500W motor and a 320Wh Battery, but it's 55.5V and the wheel is 16". The NineBot is also IP rated with a range of 14 miles or so depending 🙂 The ninebot is my last mile wheel, into town from cheap parking. Its light, maneuverable and a lot of fun. Its still the only wheel I can ride backwards, and a great wheel to learn on. Speed the Ninebot will do around 14mph. Having said all that, Dawn is the best Sales-person for the machine ever - love the enthusiasm.

Sadly all I can focus on is the small piece of backing paper on the plastic that got trapped underneath the side pad at 10:14 ... and my ears are still ringing from Dawn's shrieking!

I wish they made the mTen4 with such good quality as they made this mini. I just got the mTen4 and now seeing this I want to kick myself for not waiting. I'm pretty sure Begode will revamp the mTen4 with these design choices they made on the mini.

The EUC excels at tight maneuverability compared to the Onewheel. It's smaller too. The Pint would certainly be faster though. Oh, and the Mten Mini is < $500

Someone with the 98wh version has to take one for the team and try and board an airplane with it, I still got my bet on TSA not allowing it but if it does go through its going to be insane to have a last minute commuter for flights, even if the distance you can use it is little

The cutest wheel EVER.. I didn't think the mTen4 could be beat in cuteness... but here we are with the mini. It's like the cute, aggressive looking chiwawa that's all bark and no bite -- yet adorable and fun. I see they went with the plastic outer shell for the mini. Would you mind speaking to the perceived durability of the mini vs the mten4? Aside from me being 250lbs and tough on the mTen4's axles as it is -- I often teach kids on the mTen4, and they throw the thing around like it's indestructible. I have since lent my mTen4 out about 5 months ago, and now I'm looking for a replacement... TLDR: To withstand 250lbs & abusive kids... Would you suggest the mTen4 or mini?

For abusive kids, the Mini all day long. I think it's almost indestructible. The Mten4 is make with a lot of sheet metal that is easily bent. And at 250-lbs the Mini way underpowered.

If you score polycarbonate it will crack like glass 8 years of orthotics and prosthetics we make test sockets out of this and it dose break if scratches are on it.

Begodes response to the S9 I presume Good that these companys are not forgetting to make more attractive budget friendly entry level wheels, to bring increased numbers into the hobby/sport

I doubt it's a response to the S9 which to me falls more under the "toy" category. The Mten Mini belongs to the heritage of the Mten series of wheels going back almost 10-years. Does anyone think that the S9 has anything resembling a real tire? 😆

@@ElectricUnicycles Well IMO this Mini is as close to a Toy as Tough Old Begode can make a wheel, and the S9 is actually that Jyroball, which was supposed to have a 500W Motor and may yet get it if KS makes a new "S9 Pro" version lol

Try lowering the pressure too. Something like 10-psi. It will almost self-balance which will help at the beginning.

I had the m10-3 and I hated it got rid of it. Those tiny wheels are so squirrely and they're horrible on bumps or dips

But why would you? For a portable, lightweight urban wheel a KS 14/16 or an INMOTION V5/V8 would be a far better ride and far more useful….and make a better learner wheel..

Depending on what you want to do with the wheel I'm sure there's a limit. These limits are always somewhat arbitrary. I'm sure ~300-lbs would be OK

With a 150LB maximum weight, I would quickly break the axle.

The axle seem much thicker than on the Mten4. Kebye posted a picture on their facebook. Look like it also have external seals on the axle. The weight limit is said to be the same as for the Mten4 at 100kg, but its construction seem sturdier. The limit this time will likely be the motor output, not the axle strength.

They said mten3 was for children. Now, this one should be for infants. Way too underpowered! The battery size is a joke! I still own an mten3 and I regularly use as the last-mile extension to the public transportation and I prefer it for shorter rides to my larger wheel, since it is nimble and fast enough. But really, anything less powerfull and with a shorter range is absolutely impractical. That is just a toy for a kid, nothing more.

I think you guys are overconfident and inconsiderate. Three of you are role models for newer riders. I know you've heard all this before but this time it's a bit different. To be riding an untested under-powered new BEGODE doing little tricks without helmets is not very smart. Marty you especially should know better after last year. You can break bones on a small wheel almost as easily as you can on a big wheel. Just because it's small doesn't mean you don't need gear! A helmet at the least. If that little toy cuts out (which there is a very good chance of) you could very easily land on your face and/or fracture your skull. You're not immune to life altering injury because the wheel is small and you feel superior. More and more kids are getting into this hobby, especially with a tiny wheel like this coming out. You could even argue this product is aimed at kids. I think all 3 of you would want your kids or grand kids to be wearing a helmet if they were riding this wheel... would you not???? Then wtf are you doing? At a minimum put a disclaimer that people should wear a helmet and that you three are "pros" and aware of the risks your taking. If you weren't posting this stuff on KZbin it wouldn't be an issue. But you are. So please think about it & don't take your position for granted.

@@ElectricUnicycles we can agree to disagree but I hope you consider my point: If you need a helmet for riding a bicycle, then you definitely need one for any Begode. I just think the least you could do is say "don't try this at home kids!" or something like "we're taking a bit of a risk here but normally you should wear a helmet guys, especially when testing a new wheel". Imagine your grandkids are watching, or perhaps someone who doesn't yet understand the dangers - a small disclaimer from you would make you a better ambassador.
