Hi Will, Similarly, I had the old Cloudstratus and I was excited when On announced the launched. However, when I received my shoes, the double cloutec system absorbs lots of shock and reduces fatigue on my feet. Unfortunately, despite its light weight, I feel that the shoes was on the bulkier side and decided to use it as my daily walking shoe. How did this pair did?

This shoe feels lighter than the original Cloudstratus and I absolutely love running in it. I think I'm going to relegate my old cloud status as strictly walking and working shoes.

I’m thinking of buying a pair of these shoes in Women but they currently only offer them in 2 colors which I am not a fan of. This would be my first time because I have always worn Brooks Glycerin and Hoka Clifton. I saw the old version of this in Almond/White color which I love. Should I purchase the Version 2 or it would not matter if I purchase the Version 2?

Both the previous and current versions of the Cloudstratus are good, but the current version feels much better on my feet. While On is only offering the men's and women's Cloudstratus in two different schemes each, I can imagine them adding more colorways in the future (similar to what On did with the previous version of the Cloudstratus). I think the big thing to do though, is to check them out at your local running store and see how the current Cloudstratus feels on your feet.

How would you rate the softness while landing on pavement compared to the original Cloudstratus?
@Willisthatgoproyguy3 жыл бұрын
I think it is actually softer than the original Cloudstratus, at least it definitely is now, since my original Cloudstratus has at least 100 miles on it.

Where is the Cloudace better than the New Cloudstratus? Is there any reason to pick up the Ace?
@Willisthatgoproyguy3 жыл бұрын
I really liked the Cloudace but price is very high compared to the Cloudstratus. If On is still running its Classics sale, you should be able to get the Cloudace for 140 USD; otherwise, it normally retails for 200 USD. The Cloudstratus, on the other hand, is currently 170 USD brand new. Both provide excellent cushioning, though.

@@Willisthatgoproyguy I like the Cloudace, but I think they are way too heavy. I use the Cloudstratus Gen 1 for my Daily training and the Cloudace for easy runs or when it is wet (the Stratus 1st Gen has a horrible grip) I ordered the Gen 2 Cloudstratus yesterday, can't wait to test them :)

You will not be disappointed with these shoes.

Would you say that this version of the Cloudstratus could be recommended for someone with Overpronated feet? Would you call this a stability shoe?
@Willisthatgoproyguy3 жыл бұрын
I overpronate and I do fine with these shoes. The Cloudstratus is listed by On as a neutral shoe, but I feel like it's a stability shoe when I use it.
