Was hoping for an A4 color device... but I've heard Kaleido ppi is a bit low for that size. Hopefully next year 🙏

I can’t believe they did not release a SIM version of palma. This would be a revolution and they will be take the market by storm. I hope they release a new palma soon with a SIM card.

Boox tab ultra c pro vs. The new Note air 4c Which is recommended for a student? What makes the note air 4c cheaper than the tab ultra c pro?
@VladimirKostek22 күн бұрын
Processor power and battery size as well the possibility of a keyboard dock. The 4c you would need a bluetooth keyboard. I think that depends if it's going to be your main device, then the TUC Pro. But if you are using in tandem with a laptop frequently then the 4c might be a bit better and more portable. The TUC Pro doesn't sit flush on a table either without the keyboard folio fyi, because of the camera hump.

With firmware 4.0 an index system is introduced that works similarly to the supernote!

Indeed, Ratta is gonna have to step their game up even further! Competition always benefits us consumers 👍

Excuse me when is the release date of boox note max?

My guess would be dec or Jan, but we don't have a concrete date yet unf

It is wild they did not include an SD card slot on the max. That should have been a given at the $650 price point.

Yeah, that’s a strange choice for sure. They seem to be confusing the Go lineup and the Note lineup now lol

Thanks for the news. Can we have the link to the source of the launch video?

I was looking for a e-ink tablet and keyboard for terminal/ssh access for development work. The Note Max looks perfect for this.
@VladimirKostekАй бұрын
That sounds like a great use case for the larger screen. I'd be interested to hear how you like it for that!
@loumarcellino17Q19Ай бұрын
Thank you Vlad, you always do such a great job explaining everything in your videos. The lineup looks really nice... now if the Max 13 inch had a color display, that would enhance it so much (but yes, at a cost). If I were to replace my Kindle Scribe, it would likely be with the Note Air 4 C. The Air 3 C just dropped $50 on Amazon. Will Amazon release a COLOR Kindle Scribe? Not any time soon I imagine, since they are releasing an upgraded Scribe this month. It's just fun looking at all of these devices. Thanks again Vlad!
@VladimirKostekАй бұрын
Thanks Lou, glad it was informative. As a gen 1 Scribe owner...what do you think of the new one?
@loumarcellino17Q19Ай бұрын
@@VladimirKostek I LOVE that you can write on books (the active canvas looks really nice), and the AI can be very helpful (although AI in general, I'm not fond of, because it seems to be pushing humans out of the picture altogether). For me, though, the device would be ideal if it had color and split screen functions, which is why I was considering the Note Air 3 C, and now the Note Air 4 C. But it is certainly an improvement over the original Scribe. I heard rumor that a color Scribe may be coming out in 2025... we'll see.
@VladimirKostekАй бұрын
@loumarcellino17Q19 the nice thing about having the first generation is you should receive all of the updates too. Active Canvas is awesome, I wanted that since it launched
@loumarcellino17Q19Ай бұрын
@@VladimirKostek Thank you Vlad! I WAS wondering if the updates would give at least the active canvas. That would be awesome! I appreciate your knowledge and your kindness in responding! Thank you so much!

No frontlight, fingerprint reader or microsd on the Note Max, guess I'll stick to my Max Lumi and keep waiting

No micro seems like a mistake, but it does have double most of the other devices

Is the firmware upgrade also for the old devices? Strangely, Boox never upgraded the old Android devices.
@VladimirKostekАй бұрын
From what i understand some features will come to the device but I'm not sure which ones yet. If they don't it would likely be due to the older android versions on them
@johnmanley4528Ай бұрын
It does not look like the Max has a frontlight. That is a debatable decision if that is what happened. The website is not listing its specifications.
@VladimirKostekАй бұрын
I think that is the case, it seems odd that it's not in the GO lineup. My guess is to make it thinner and improve the battery they didn't add a frontlight. That being said Carta 1300 has great contrast so I don't think it's that bad of a decision. I would have preferred on though
@johnmanley4528Ай бұрын
@@VladimirKostek , I thought it was the BSR that really drained battery life more than the front light. It certainly looks like a GO device.
@VladimirKostekАй бұрын
You are right, I was just thinking that a frontlight on top of BSR would really have drained it at that thinness
@johnmanley4528Ай бұрын
@@VladimirKostek With or without a frontlight, the battery life will probably be pretty poor. I was expecting the NA4C to have a bigger battery, but even that is the same as the NA3C
@VladimirKostekАй бұрын
@johnmanley4528 yea i wonder if the new cpu is more efficient, otherwise that would have been a good move to up the battery a bit
@jakeham4017Ай бұрын
If that’s the case, the lack of a front light for the 13-inch device is a significant missed opportunity, and that’s the main reason I won’t buy it.
@VladimirKostekАй бұрын
I think it is the case unfortunately. The contrast on Carta 1300 is maybe the saving grace

🙋♂Hi Vlad! The only one that seems ok is the Note Max but not sure it comes with expandable storage. They missed the boat on the Palma 2 , it could have been a phone...too bad! The Note Air 4C is just too similar to the Note Air 3C. The Android 13 and processor upgrade is ok but not the biggest thing and I doubt many will switch to the new Note Air 4C, I know I won't but, new buyers might find it interesting. I don't know Vlad, these devices are just going to be some refresh of older tech. I am personally looking for an e-ink phone. There is nothing out there except for Bigme and that is so poorly done I would not even bother. I know there are other phones out there like Hisense A9 the Light Phone and others on Kickstarter but not what I am looking for. My Note Air 3C and my phone are the only things I carry for work and its a great light combo for a freelance construction Senior Project Manager. I am also considering going back to a New Surface tablet with the new chipset from Qualcomm. Yeah I know seems I am not satisfied with anything and just complaining ...Sorry for that. Kudos from NYC.🗽

I really want Boox to make a phone too Dan, I was really hoping the Palma 2 would have a SIM. Hopefully a Palma 2C or 3C is in the works too!
