I'm not crying about the physics, I love the physics from a personal perspective as it suits my driving style so so so good. I do think that more realistic though is not a good thing as people just want to jump on and play not have realism with absolutely everything (In my opinion)

@tidgney Oh i agree with you. My comment wasn't directed at you. I also dont want GT to go full blown Sim. Somewhere in the middle of Simcade and Sim would be great i reckon. I think its mived in the right direction. Its still very user friendly for the average joe.

It’s always good racing with you and the other TCR drivers on a Monday morning, you always know any contact is accidental and not intentional. When I got to the top of the hill, I’m not sure if I hit the brakes late or Frd hit them early, but I went right to avoid going into the back of them. Thankfully I ended up far wide enough to avoid Mark who came flying though after being punted. I thought they were going to take out Frd and Sonic, as I had gone so far wide I checked my radar and could see someone there so didn’t aim for the apex, I was surprised all of us made it through the left turn. I saved the reply and paused it just before I made contact with Sonic, the 3 of us were level and you were less than half a car length from being in front and all 4 of us were pointing towards the same apex, it could have been a lot worse, thankfully Sonic somehow managed to save it.

You have to wonder if they actually test the updates before release… the braking physics are completely broken in some cars… trail braking results in an instant spin… releasing the brakes with any steering angle = massive oversteer. Completely unrealistic weight transfer effects.

It seems to get worse with faster cars too. I tried Gr.1 the other night at Sarthe. Went into the first chicane going uphill, on soft tires, only at 25-50% braking, with minimal steering input, with abs on, and the front tires completely locked up. No way it should have done that. It wasn't bad in gr.3 and gr.4, but I couldn't avoid locking up the front wheels in faster cars under braking. Maybe it's just going to take time to get used to it.

Not to mention some setups now lock the cars wheels in the wheelwell even if the suspension has enough room/play to support full steering angle, the new M3 is horrible like that as well as all the mclaren supercars.. u need to raise the suspension lol what

Yep, this update broke soooooooo many older cars in my garage. "PP!" everywhere. As for another thing this update, hammering the brakes on or off is straight up no-no juice.

Thabks for the guide. Race B was so short, i was getting used to 5 laps in daily b races and boom, its over in 4. Race c is fun and a decent length so will focus my efforts there. Certainly a delight for gr3 fans this week.

Hey Tidge, great work as always! When I first started watching your channel, you used to promote people creating TCR liveries and then you'd pick one for your weekly race guides. Any reason you stopped? Not that you don't have enough to do, but I liked seeing them and it seemed a fun way to create inspiration for the community, and I'd love to see that feature return, especially as we're getting more and more behind-the car angle. It's also great for chasing your leaderboard ghosts! looking at the default paintjobs depersonalizes the experience of repeatedly losing seconds a lap to your spectral form :) Thanks!

It's a great question. The main reasons I stopped are; - I don't know the daily races until the Monday morning so leaves very limited time to get the TT's done for the lap guide and getting into the race (Different accounts) - Oil, I'm so nervous of entering a race with a car without an oil change and it having an impact I'd rather not think about it and just use a rented car. I loved doing it though, and it's something I'd love to do but they'd need to remove the silly oil change to give me a chance to do it!

You thought the PP calculator was broken before. Now it’s as bad as it was before 1.40. Not saying it was perfect. But between 1.40-1.48 was the best state the calculator has been. That said the whole system in general doesn’t seem to work. I think the biggest problem was from day one when they decided to be lazy when their first patch was to start disconnecting things like gear ratios or toe etc. they were not actually addressing the main issue. Sadly you can add 2kg to a car’s weight and watch the PP Drop 8 points. Haha

Not so sure, I checked the history and it did go from 5 laps to 4 and we've had it before. It's annoying though, 5 laps would have been fine!

I’m sure there will be an update soon to tighten up the physics however, do you think TC1 is now viable to help with the over/under steering? I used in the GSW as I saw folks spinning out of control during the race (granted I’m only a B ranked driver - almost A)it helped stabilized the car a bit more

Tc is only faster in heavy rain and even then can cause problems on entry as well as the exits

The few cars I have that required me to use it were always perfect on 1, now they need 3+ for me not to spin them out exiting a corner on controller.

I need to do some detailed testing on it to be able to answer this. Hopefully something in the near future! But if you are spinning out alot it's worth trying as a spin costs far more time than losing a few tenths (If it does) on a lap time

I just wish that they either put in a longer race every week or made all 3 races 20-25% longer. That race B at Trial mountain with a 4!!! Lap race with rolling start is insane i wish someone at polyphony could understand its worse than useless.

The amount of quality of life upgrades gt7 needs is unbelievable. The engine swap and wide body should be at the tuners.. carwash is useless, oil changes should be removed or oil state directly visible in the garage since it does matter. What also matters are the camera angles while doing wheels, paint, spoilers etc.. always wait for a rotating car? Come on? Ok multiplayer time, why is there no server migration, often it happens that we are vibing in a full lobby and the host has to go. Thats the tip of the iceberg of things that feel like a last gen game. The menu’s are so overcomplete.. and some things remain hidden forever: almost no one knows that pressing triangle while changing a decal can make you do translucence… anyways Im really bummed out by the game since 99% of my 600pp or 700pp setups are completely ruined. Stiff cars like the enzo or any hypercar just sways forward and backwards… pfff come on PD

Because many "pros" don't drive....they play a game trying their best to be on the limits of the game engine. You can't drive a real car the way they play. And now GT7 is WAY closer to what a real car would do. And tyre temp is much more prevalent. Physics are great.

You can rent or use your own cars, but typically a Balance of Performance (BoP) is in effect, so any tune you may have will not apply.

You're not supposed to brake while turning. You also don't always use all of it all the time. But when all the nuftins whinge enough they'll change the game. Just like they did when it first came out.

The further down the classes you go the greater the effect of the new physics, I like to run vintage/classic street cars both modded and stock and they are nearly undriveable at this point. Really just not fun anymore, big thumbs down...

They do the very first races in the morning and must be close in DR ranking. If I'm doing a race all week I'm roughly racing with the same crowd most of that week.
