The Grayzone, Glenn Greenwald's System Update and Democracy Now are a few that would be well-sourced media to check out. Like the channels you mentioned above, they're not without their own bias'. But do report intelligently and aren't inflammatory and generally principled.

@@thomaslee1982 THANKS, some more alternatives are accuracy in media, freedom news, and for conversations like on this channel there's somebody named "destiny", obviously Lex fridman, and then that notorious dude in Canada Jordan Peterson just interviewed mosab Yousef last week. That was crazy! I didn't know about the Greenwald one. Heads up, breaking points and The Gray Zone guy, blumenthal, have been caught in a lot of lies. I kind of don't trust democracy now anymore, either. They seem to have an agenda. I'm really surprised at how deep The Comedy Cellar goes in its conversations about this.

Will the police prosecute the protesters or only the counter-protesters if there is a conflict? I see the police sitting back since it is a no win situation for the police. If the police and the universities are not doing their jobs controlling both sides don't be surprised when someone else does it. This is why the rules must be enforced if you want peace.

The college kids all go home over the next 4-5 weeks. Are voters really going to be thinking about encampments when they go to vote 5 months later? Im thinking the punditry overvalues the long term political salience of these protests.

This is a legal maneuver to try keep the IHRC DEFINITION from judicial scrutiny. It was already adopted by the state department but had not been used for arrest because it's clearly unconstitutional. In this case, congress has required schools to include in their policy, students violating policy is an issue for the school board not the police. After the school says the students violated policy and are expelled they can be arrested for trespassing. The issue in trial will then be trespassing NOT the constitutional question of the policy, that issue would be sent back to the school and the students told to complete the schools in house appellate procedures first and then that could be brought to civil court. HOWEVER, the school will then claim they had no choice in defining the policy because it was ordered by Congress and the students told they have sued the wrong party. So, how do students get the definition in the policy reviewed by the courts?

For us that have followed what happened Oct 7 & have been learning the history about this 75 years of conflict between Israelis & Palestinians have to acknowledge that protests are important, protest is the only way to bring attention & push for change, this genocide on Gaza must stop so to mix those demands up by saying people are being against jews is just a blatant lie.

Actually the conflict goes back over 2000 years. This was once Judea, the Jewish homeland before it was taken from them. The Gazans could start by giving up all of the hostages and turning in all Hamas operatives.

@endoalley680 Wrong mate, you haven't been paying attention because the hostages were never a 1st priority, only going into Gaza to find hamas was 1st priority, going over who lived in Gaza or westbank many years ago is a stupid argument, homes are being smashed, occupants killed as we speak, that has to stop since that's what Israel has been doing for 6 months & many years prior to Oct 7. Let's be honest when an Israeli state was planned & implicated those people with that vision had no care or respect for who was living there, not then & not now, some Jews living in Palestine are peace loving but most are arrogant, brainwashed into entitlements while hiding behind beliefs they interpret from their bibles.

@@jacquihunter4260 The Arab Muslims in Gaza want to take the territory of Israel for their own. That have shown this time and time again. Oct 7 demonstrates this. The taking of hostages demonstrated this. They have no desire to create for themselves a peaceful free pro-western-values state similar to the Israeli state. The world would be a better place if the surrounding Arabs would absorb them as their own people.

The Arab Gazans wish to turn the clock back to the poverty of the Dark Ages. They wish to steal Israel away from the Israelis. They demonstrated this on Oct 7. Robert Wright: I have a problem with the 13th Amendment to the Constitution. It doesn't properly define slavery and it takes away people's freedom to do business in a matter that suits their business plan. For example, if I ask my children to clean their rooms without paying them, is that slavery? I can see how problematic this all is.

@@lakedistrict9450 Islam is a fascist political ideology bent on world domination and held together with the glue of the promise of an afterlife for it's adherents. Israel is a sanctuary country for Jews, and especially for Jews displaced as sufferers of antisemitism. The assumption in this post is that Stalin did bad things to people. When you compare the histories of Jews to Muslims, the Muslims are the ones to be best compared to Stalin or Hitler.

Disappointed. 😢 All worries highlighted in this episode seem confiined to protester perspective, with little concern for a healthy, fair, liberal and just society. ...I agree with strong objection to new law and several other points... But... There's a blindness in the lack of concern for applying neutral principles, as opposed to just aiding or protecting a favored POV and policy. Bob isn't always like this, and has criticised increased media biases in past even when it advanced his own sympathies. Because of intensity of feelings, or bubble, or whatever he's lost that in this instance.

@@endoalley680 Bob doesn't seem to me to be super dogmatic or orthodox in his left leaning perspectives. I do agre that Mickey made Bob's dialog better. It's not that I was more impressed with Mickey's judgement or positions, but as you indicated, he frequently introduced challenges that get missed when he's talking with Andrew.
