Came to comment the same. 3 levels on ADC, 4 levels on support, complete item that grants sustain based off missing HP and Samira only has collector. Collector's lethality gets denied so in theory Samira only has little AD, a little crit and Poppy has 1 complete, useful and synergic item. BTW, Samira took a lot of reduced damage due to tabis and still complains. ADC players be like "I built to burst squishys why is a Bruiser/Tank not dying"

Honestly the corner cutting and reused assets were inevitable when Riot stopped giving Champions unique skins and switched almost exclusively to skin lines. And especially when they decided Ahri, Lux, and Ezreal need to be part of every skin line. You can't give 3 Champions 20+ skins each and not start repeating yourself.

She didn’t oneshot Samira, and Samira let Poppy get her passive shield like 10 times, which adds up to a LOT of hp. A Riven would have stomped Sam three times as hard and doublekilled in half the time. Poppy barely survived by getting her shields + Steraks procs.

Clarity used to be a huge deal for Riot. Early on in season 1-3 they’d make sure champ skins can be immediately identified and even the silhouette can be identified. We’ve come a far cry from that.

​​​@@bryang2375 Kassadin pays double the amount of mana for every ult within 15 seconds of the previous one, maxing at 640 mana(in a game where the max amount champs can get is ~3000-4000 if you go ahead and buy as many mana items as you can) It is also to note that his ult does 110+50% ap to 330+90% ap at the max cost, in a small(2.7 teemos) AOE. Samira does 250 + 500% ad in a 600 unit radius, on a 5 second cooldown, for 0 mana. As she has lvl 1 ult and 180 AD, that's 950 premitigation damage per ult, whereas Kassadin could be assumed to have ~300 ap(going by adaptive force rules) doing 450 premitigation damage in a similar scenario... with absolutely massive mana costs attatched because that's the fully stacked numbers, which he has to spend 1240 mana just to cast his first fully stacked R, and another 640 for each one after that. But that's besides the point, so I'll just say 🌈 CDR Lux🌈

Yeah so that Cloth Armor should have definitely reduced 32,000 base damage to under 200 damage, thats how tanks should be while also dealing 25% maxhp true/physical dmg on 3s cooldowns. The easiest way to explain the skins problem: Riot makes too many skins, especially for the same champs. Reused assets (color, effects, etc) are bound to happened, especially when given to the same champs or champs with similar esthetic (karma, lux, seraphine). Is this ok, no. But its going to keep being a problem until PEOPLE STOP BUYING THE SKINS. Riot made the most most money last year, they also released the most skins last year. Correlation?

Poppy is lvl 13 vs lvl 10 samira & lvl 9 lulu, with 2050g lead in items (kindlegem, chainvest, tear) compared to samira. We don't see lulu's items but I assume she's even further behind. Samira fights poppy in melee range the whole time. I don't see what there is to complain about. If anything, the samira should be happy she didn't get one tapped with such a gap. A darius would've pressed E>aa>W>Q>R, and even if he misses Q, samira dead in less than 1s, followed by lulu 1s later. I've had games highlighting poppy's brokenness much more straightforward, where she's not even ahead, but just runs in 1v5 without losing any more than 1/4 of her HP, oneshots a target against a wall, chases the next target, gets E back like 4-5s after the first one, oneshots another target with it, walks away with still half her HP available. There are plenty of scenarios where poppy is outright broken. This is not one of them.

Sharing assets between skins for the same champs is disgusting and incredibly cheap considering how much Riot earns and how little art costs in comparsion. However, it's completely bonkers to have almost the same projectiles for different champs on significant skills. Especially because Riot is fully aware of those things, hence why they ban certain skins from pro play. The coach subbing himself in could also be a option for Swiffer.

Asset reuse isn't necessarily a problem, it's a good cost cutting measure that makes a lot of development easier without either putting artists through hell trying to make endless variations on tossing out a projectile or giving someone a shield. Hell, there's a specific tree model that appears in more recalls than most champions have skins, and that's mostly just funny because it keeps happening. In the cases of the Faerie Court stuff though, it absolutely is a problem for clarity reasons which could probably be fixed if they just checked to make sure that they weren't giving the same color schemes to characters with already visually similar abilities.

Riot is not a small company brother. Assets reuse is only fine when its used to short-cut production time without hurting quality. It's lazy to use the exact art and extremely offensive to customers. All I can day about the faerie court comparison is....eh? The color scheme is similar, or close at best, but they're within the same theme, they would have to pull from the same palette or look out of place. The lux/karma one is really grasping at straws while the most incriminating one out of all the comparisons is the lux asset one. Every time there is this discussion about skinline 2.0 or 3.0, there's always the argument put out that the skins are reusing assets or skills between champions look "too similar." Honestly, how many times has there been a game where two skins in question are in the same game and have made noticable impact on the outcome because one skill was confused for another?

I think I wouldn't mind not getting a skin line per patch if it means skin quality goes up. But I doubt they would change it because skins make them money, which is good for a live service game and even better for Riot as a whole. Regardless, I still hope Riot takes these issues and criticisms seriously and act to make skins better.

The color gradient on lux E is different from seraphine Q, lux's is blue and pink, while sera is a light sea green and that color they used to use on prestige skins, iirc it is called champagne pink

I've been playing league for nealy 10 years. Skins used to be 975 RP, at most, with several 520 and 700 RP. Legendary 1820 were introduced, at most 1 per champion, but they would be the most epic skins you'd ever seen. Skins would cost 10 dollars each (at 975 RP). Now every skin is 1350, getting way more money from each one, and still they cut corners, not giving anything more than 975 skins did in like 2015.

The Seraphine and Lux abilities are not reused assets. The look of the edges and the butterflies are both absolutely different, not to mention the distribution of the butterflies. Obviously they look similar, as they are both circular AoE skills with an edge highlight, which is now filled in by the same color scheme. That does not make them reused assets though. The AA particle being the same is also just outright false. Lux's AA has a very clear and visible projectile within the colored trail, which Seraphine's does not have. Lux and Karma also do not have the same shield effect. Karma has a 4 petal lotus appear, whereas Lux has an 8 petal lotus, making hers look much fuller compared to Karma's. The visuals are similar due to them being extremely similar abilities within the same skin line, but they are not the same. (To clarify, shielding abilities in league usually put a visible sphere on the recipient for a brief moment, so visuals can and will overlap in the same skin line). The Lux ult is definitely just a reskin though, so there's that.

For not only gameplay clarity, but also the competitive integrity of the game, there truly should be a settings toggle to disable all skins besides your own. This OFC won’t happen cuz it will dip into their skin sales 💀
