The NEW Skyrim Creations/Paid Mods Update EXPLAINED (Xbox)

Hey everyone! Hope you found this video helpful as there is a lot going on. Definitely not what I expected after 6 days of maintenance. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll try to answer them. The update is still new so I haven't tried all of the newer feature but tried my best to include everything here. Bethesda Discord is also linked in the description if you have specic questions (it's cooled down a lot since the maintenance, thankfully). For those on Steam Deck, let me know what you Skyrim experiene is like. I saw in the patch notes that there is official support now.

The New Creations Menu option is supposed to be right above Credits, but for me it's not there. Not Blacked out just non existent.

They can help you further. help.bethesda.net/ All I know is that the Creations menu will not show up if the Settings on the Xbox account does not say "Everybody". To access your Xbox settings hit the Home button in the middle of the controller to bring up the menu and scroll over to the last option. You can access the settings from there. Or you can access them from the Xbox app or the home screen/desktop on Xbox. On the Xbox desktop/home screen, scroll up to the top of the screen and press A on your gamertag icon. Find settings and find account. support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/settings-updates/system-settings " Worth trying to see if that setting isn't set to 'Everybody'

I hate the new Creations section so much... the search works less now than it did before, you have to wait a good 60 seconds before you can do anything thanks to the paid content's thumbnails needing to load, the library feature now contains EVERYTHING YOU'VE EVER VIEWED, and deleting mods is now a very good way to corrupt the load order and make a mod duplicate itself in a corrupt fashion.

Yeah, I've had to redo the load order like 5 times because of some disfunction, and it duplicates the mod and gives me less space. So by the time I get to a bigger mod ot says I don't have enough space. I'm so annoyed at this point I might just stop playing for a long time.

@@erecto_patronum True, but I found it doesn't keep the load order correct- even if you click yes that you do. I tried it once since the update and messed up the order quite bad so I had trees sticking through buildings and large texture packs were overwriting small ones.

This new update is horrendous, I can't even finish installing mods because the damn thing crashes and then when you load it back up almost all functionality is gone. I can't press Y to access the mod order or use the search function. I tried clearing the reserve space and it worked until it crashed AGAIN making it not work. It crashing in the mod menu is flat out ridiculous and even more so since they have paid mods now. I'm on XBOX series X.

Servers can crash just like your game can so that can smooth out over time. There was a lot more crashing when the servers came back up. It's possible that it could just be internet things too. The best thing to do would be to keep an eye on the Bethesda status page and maybe their Discord for real-time updates.

Thank you for making this very well thought out video. I have been looking for something like this since the servers came back online. I’m going to start Skyrim anniversary edition for the first time so I was curious on how the included mods will work and thanks to your video, I feel a lot more comfortable starting my adventure. The sad part is that MA only gets 30%, I recommend any one that wants to support modders is by going to their donation stations and donating to them cause Bethesda gets most of the money spent on the MAs.

@@panzer00 A foundation created twelve years ago. I don't see how that is relevant since Bethesda puts zero work into the construction of the mods. I'm not saying they should not get a cut at all, as you said, they created the foundation of which modding sits upon. However, I do not think they are entitled to 70% of what is earned from paid mods. It has been a LONG time since they have last put forth 70% worth of effort into skyrim... the only reason its as popular as it is now is thanks to free mods, next to no help at all from bethesda.

@honinakecheta601 they see a market and they're tryin to use something, which is the very essence of freedom to reach it. I think the success of the Minecraft marketplace is why they're doing this, especially now that they're owned by Microsoft. Why is Minecraft's marketplace successful? Console. The only way paid mods works is on console because console players are young and don't think about these things, they just consume - I play on PS4 but I sure as shit will not buy individual mods. What is interesting is the dichotomy of the modding community who want to be independent creators, free to alter the software they have purchased and share those changes with others and Bethesda, a company owned by one of the biggest, greediest corporations on the planet, who want to commercialize modding into a profitable industry. The two are in direct opposition of one another.

Haven't updated game yet, am a bit hesitant to do so, might just play in offline mode with load order i had already downloaded for just now. Did have a quick look at the bethesda website and was a bit lost, couldn't find my mod list anywhere. Was just library and bookmarks, both of which had over a thousand mods in it :/ looked like every mod i've ever downloaded or favourited since i first started using mods, plus some others i've never even used before and maybe only looked at. Just the thought of having to go through them all and remove the ones i don't want made me want to go and lie down.

The merge is definitely weird but your list is still intact -pending if you have any UI mods. Totally understandable though! I guess unless there’s a forced update then you should be okay. You should be able to turn off auto updates on Xbox.

My load order works fine apart from crashes when changing cell (entering a place that requires loading after going through a door) but this happens before the updates. It worked for me instantly as I’d ditched my up mods which caused more problems than they were worth

@@Matt_the_TechRanger yeppers I’d shrunken down my list as Ii’m Trying to a legacy of the Dragonborn play through… so all my time is spent trying to get that load order to work crash free only one crash today. MY FO4 is also a bit crashy certainly gonna have to look at that it usual crashes around the outskirts of Boston but it’s more stable than Skyrim though I’ve never got a decent foliage mod to work. On Pc no problems but Xbox is quite tricky working out the correct load orders, but that’s the fun of modding isn’t it? I’m actually ok with all the creations changes except for the fave menus haven’t really looked at the my library section and I won’t be using any creations as I need the space but I am running Anniversary edition

In mine I just had NordWar AiO get pushed to the top but it was disabled cause the mod was removed. When I found it again and added it then it worked as intended in the list. I did read in the Bethesda Discord that some mods were pushing to the top.

Hopefully they fix the CTD and LO scrambling. Ive wasted a ton of time needing to redownload everything only for half my mods to disable themselves and play scrambled eggs with the actual order. Never mind the interface is trying to load a ton of mods constantly.

I hate this because now, trying to fix or adjust my mods is a pain. The game will constantly crash whenever I try to access the Creations menu. Just go back to the way it was.

I think going back to how it was would be tough since they migrated all mods to new servers. The crashing will probably smooth out over time. There's just a lot of people trying to download/re-download things on top of the issues I mentioned in the video (library filling up, UI mods, etc...).

Paying for a bethesda game has only cons and zero pros, you wake up one day and you have to download a 12 gb downgrade that breaks your mods. Pirates have better experience with gaming every year, including games with denuvo and easyanticheat removed

Beware that the feature to save the load order doesn’t really work. I reloaded a saved order of 148 and got 65 back. I thought this might be a good tool to use when getting ghost space but others have told me that the ghost space is saved and comes back with the reload.

Yeah, I noticed the ghost space coming back with the save for sure. But I also never really go past 55-60 mods so I can't speak of missing some when saving it. Thank you for mentioning that!

I like the new creations format i deleted all my mods and started from scratch (on xbox x) after a few downloads it ctd'd went back in to creations could not access bar at bottom nothing worked no buttons worked deleted mods i downloaded was able to get back in im going to leave it for a couple weeks im sure the ctd is mods conflicting with new ui format in creations it will work when mods get updated. That being said the format is a lot better im just going to give it time it will all work.

There's definitely still some bugs and glitches that need to be addressed still. It'll be interesting to see if there are a lot of mods that have updates available in the next week or so. Namely UI mods.

I've just lost all interest in playing the game and that sucks as it was always my go to when stressed or depressed. Until all the patches are done with I'm just going to find something else. As for paid mods, I'd rather use a different way to 'tip' a mod creator than give Bethesda more money. Looking at the paid creations, there's nothing worth paying for. Take the cheapest credits, $8. That's 150 South African Rands 😶 no thanks.

Always good to play other things. There’s a ton of games out there and this game will be here for better or worse. 12 years deep at this point 😂 I’ve always been more into visual mods and it seems like future paid stuff will be gameplay focused; especially since they can’t rely on any other mods. It’s cool but I still haven’t finished any of the Skyrim DLC… and it’s been years. I’d say save the cash for games you want or mod authors you want to support 👍

Has anyone noticed that you can still only view so many mods in a category? I have over 100 mods in my library and I can’t see them all. The mod that used to show more is disabled. Now I’m sad.

Currently on my Xbox Series X the creation club and mods are not accessible on the main menu. Those 2 options cannot be selected due to fact that they are missing from menu completely. This happened right after the update was installed. Has been like this for the last 3 days.

You might need to hard reset the Xbox and clear your mods off the hard drive to get it to work.

Did you have any mods that altered the UI in anyway? A menu replacer, UI replacement, font replacement? Those so far seem to be the only mods that really disagree with this new update, well that and skse dependent mods, but that's normal with any update.

I bought East Empire Expannsion last night. It cost less than a sandwich. And its AMAZING! Im not into mods that add "stuff". But this one has a great (lore friendly) way to deal with loot (without spending half your time carrying/selling it). And theres the beginning of a story here! I feel this might be going somewhere epic. I'm not finished yet. More to see. I want more mods that add heart-n-soul to these games (not just items). And I think supporting this new creation partnership thing bethesda are trying is a good way to help modders to create them.

That's nice to hear! When I was in the Bethesda Discord chat when the servers came back up, someone mentioned that one of the mod authors who had a paid mod actually worked with Bethesda as a contractor for Starfield. Not sure which one that was or if that was true but super cool.

Overall I think the changes are okay, the mod interface was in real need of some fixing and a face lift. Search bar needs fixed though it’s worse than ever 😂 Never understood how the Library section worked, or why it’s even there considering the favourites exists, they could change that too. Pity we can’t have more than one saved load order, I have sometimes drastically different load orders that would be cool to more easily switch between.

On Xbox has anyone noticed there’s no WIP section when on the site through console, however when you access the site from a device(computer,phone,IPod, etc) there Is a WIP section But when you check the bookmark(favorite) it does not show on your list when back using console…. This sucks personally I used several of them on my list for yrs….

Seems like things are leveling out but still some crashing in the mod menu. But if you play with UI mods then not updating for a bit might be a good idea for sure. Not familiar with modding on PC but I know that things like SKSE are a concern over there.

On a serious note To be honest I see no problem in my game still work perfect, mods all still there. Yea it’s abit more chaotic the mods menu now and the library parts is abit overwhelming.. but hey if you loved this and have played it since day one, like myself you will figure it out people. Instead of hating on Todd the god let remember all endless hours of fun and joy Skyrim have provided us and appreciate that.

@@reecefindlater6778 true but honestly modding Skyrim is not that hard, if you run problems into simply delete a mod at the time. and figure out what cause the issues, simple trouble shooting. Work for always well at least before the update. But I’m also using a fixed mod list for all my weather and graphics mods only thing I change is my armor and weapons mods. When change to a new character. Depending on okay style.

Right. All the CC contributes as well but all of that stuff doesn’t take up much space. Can’t really speak on the paid mods yet since there’s not much yet. There’s some big free quest mods so maybe if there’s anything like that then maybe it’d be an issue but I doubt it. Beyond Skyrim: Bruma is probably the biggest but that’s free. Your big stuff will still be textures/armor/weapon mods for the most part

Keeps moving my load order about, got my first ghost space due to not being able to delete a mod properly. Been playing this for 10 years, Doubt I'll ever buy anything of them again.

That's up to you but I get it. Ghost space is something that can happen and has been the case since modding started on Xbox. It can be fixed but nuking the list is usually the best way to do it. Unfortunately, playing with mods is playing with risk. The rearranging of mods thing is definitely weird with this update; I had it happen once. That could be addressed over time. There's a lot of talk in the Bethesda Discord about it so I would think they are aware.

Do you have any UI mods installed or in your library? Ui mods are the culprit for that at the moment. Things like Nordic UI that change menus and fonts

Skyrim deleted I will not play it again its pay walling mods so no thanks ineffect I just scrapped my Xbox subscription because mods for Bethesda games was the only thing that made me play xbox and it's only time before all modders go to make paid mods and free mods stop it's youstva RIP off

I'm currently getting that damn "No space available" bug. I have 997.46mb of space left and the last mod I need to download is only 602.65mb anyone have an idea how to fix this? I've tried restarting my Xbox, tried clearing my reserve space and redownload my loadorder again (one mod at a time), I've even tried to download my mods before doing the creation collections first.

You can try logging in on Bethesda.net on your phone or computer and removing mods from your library that you aren’t using. Maybe the merging of everything is adding to your ghost space. A fresh install of the game might also help. Just make sure you know your mods or have a recording of them. I wouldn’t recommend saving the list via that new feature cause it could be saving ghost space if you have it.

Libray SUCKS, it gets cluttered with random Mods, some i never even used!! Bookmarks aka favorites is still good but I'm sure its limited as before.

For me the update made the game a lot less playable, and I wasn't even playing with mods(Because I was achievement hunting), just some of the Anniversary Upgrade content. The game suddenly started stuttering and dropping frames in a lot of places it wouldn't stutter before, the flying carts bug in the intro is back again, and I'm sure if I played more I'd find more new problems...

@@Matt_the_TechRanger Tried that, also tried just removing the 5GB reserved space for mods, stutters still happen, and intro is still a giant mess(Posted a video on my channel just now). Furthermore it also seems to have mildly broken the Polish version of the game(Which I use, since I am Polish and my console is set to that language, so game runs with it by default...), as the level up screen now doesn't have "health"(Zdrowie) written as option, and it instead says "state"(Stan)... even though it was fine before the update.

@@Razor7557 yea that’s really odd. Could be a localization issue with the update. Might be worth submitting a ticket to Bethesda so they can look into it. They might be able to check your saves and the video you posted. Your English typing is 👍👍 by the way!

i had to clear my entire load order to get rid of ghost space and now i cant find everything i had in my library, but it does show me the mods i accidentally downloaded 2 years ago and immediately uninstalled lmao

That merging of everything was weird. I noticed the same. There was a mismatch before or what I saw on console compared to the website but there’s definitely more stuff in my library now. I generally just search for stuff again. The search doesn’t crash as much now and I do like the way it lays everything out. Just in case you aren’t paying close attention and accidentally install a French version of a mod 😜

I have a question. I redownloaded Skyrim for my Nintendo Switch after the update was announced. Even got the Anniversary Addition. Would the update still apply even before or after then, and does the update affect Nintendo Switch users? Thanks for your time.

It shouldn't affect Nintendo Switch since that is closed off from the Creations service. Anniversary Edition will be your way to mods. In this case, you'd have access to all of the previous Creation Club mods included there. At least for now 👍

@@tonytony8595 No cause I make mod videos and like new things. Growing pains or not. Mods are made to work on Xbox one so that hasn't changed. If you have any font/menu/ui mods then that can mess things up in terms of using the new Creations menu since there are new versions of a lot of those. The update isn't going to make your game unplayable - just maybe don't jump into the Creations menu right away if you have one of the above cause then it might. If you're cool with playing offline then you totally can. At the end of the day, mods aren't guaranteed to work 100% of the time and there can always be issues. But if you know more about the current state of things , you'll be better off in the long run.

Yea it’ll do that. In the video, I showed it happening with Search but it could be due to just server overload or if you have a lot of mods. Sometimes just the menu having to load mods on your library (not even installed) can do it. Might be sorted out over time 🤷‍♂️

Well, what I don’t understand, with the creation mods on my PS5 anniversary edition is my werewolf mod. Moonlight tales. It works perfectly on my PC version. Even though Moonlight Tales is listed in creations and is downloaded. It does not display On the UI. The mod is check marked, indicating it is installed. I just can’t utilize the mod. It is like having the better vampires mod. Only for it to not work at all. Or even have it displayed in the user interface. Regardless, it’s listed in creations and check marked. 🤨🤔🤨

Can't really speak on PC/PS5 stuff but you can check if the correct version is in your Library on the website. I know some mods can be applied to PC and console but there's usually specific versions for most mods. It kind of sounds like its not installed on your Playstation so it might be a visual glitch. I've never played Skyrim before because I thought "ok, I'll wait 10 years and play the final version of this game". I can't play incomplete products, I'd rather not play than play thinking "damn, I don't have access to something". Recently I remembered a game like Skyrim, and that I probably waited long enough to play its final version. I found out about the anniversary edition and decided to buy it. I searched the internet for information and from what I understood, this version was supposed to have access to everything that Bethesda officially approved. Your video proved me wrong. Questions: 1 - Is this "creations" package already included in the anniversary version by default, or do I have to buy it? 2 - Have they fixed some of the incompatibility bugs between different mods since the release of the "creations" add-on? I read in the comments under your video that people are complaining about bugs, that mods are not loading properly, etc. Has this problem been at least minimized? 3 - If I buy the anniversary edition and buy the "creations" add-on, will I have access to absolutely everything that the creators have officially approved? 4 - Do ps4 players get everything that the newer generations have? Thank you for the kind words! Creations is just what mods are called now on Skyrim. It's a newer mod system that combines older paid mods (Creation Club), offers new paid ones if you want them, but still has all the free ones. You don't have to pay extra for it. Since you bought the Anniversary Edition, you have access to all Creation Club Content and the DLC. The issues when this first launched have been minimized but I don't think they've ever plagued Playstation. Playstation has a lot less free mods since they cannot use external assets like on Xbox. It's a bummer but that means way less issues. Can't really speak on the Playstation mod experience much more as I don't own one.

Via their Discord, Bethesda said they were working with the SKSE team. But that’s about my only knowledge on PC stuff. It might be worth hopping over to the Bethesda Discord and asking about it. Not sure if there was an update for that or if something else needs to happen 🤷‍♂️

You can try a hard reset or relinking your account on Bethesda's site first to see if it's just a visual glitch. If a mod is actually installed then it shouldn't delete itself; it could be disabled if a mod is removed or if there is an update to it. A lot of things got updated and some mods were removed for new ones after the Creations update. Mods should be active in your game if they are installed. If that's still not the case then clearing your reserved space, uninstalling the game, hard reset the xbox, and reinstall skyrim and that will reset everything.

Yea that was something I saw. It seemed like once I moved a mod back once then it didn’t change on me again. If you keep adding mods then it may rearrange again. I think it might have something to do with if a mod is somehow marked as a master file -like USSEP which will push it to the top. Just what I gathered from reading the Bethesda Discord so I don’t know that for sure.

That's wrong bro, a free mod can be a paid mod, but they have to remove everything that has to do with that mod, this includes any patches of any kind ect. They have to remove it from bethesda and nexus as well! So yes we have to worry about our favorite mods being taken down and uploaded to paid mods

According to Bethesda, paid mods have to be totally new and cannot rely on other mods. See 'What Creations can I sell?' in the FAQ: creations.bethesda.net/en/creators/bethesdagamestudios LoveKing (Mod Author) also straight up asked a Bethesda Discord mod if he could take down a free mod and then sell it (to see what they'd say) and that was the screenshot I used in the video. The answer was "No."

Sorry but they can there's a loophole there, and it has to be done in a specific way to do it! And a side note Bethesda can't ever be trusted, they proven that when Todd Howard lied about Starfield! He lied about almost every single thing he said about Starfield! Oh! You can count on one hand the bugs, and background loading screens for Immersivness, you can build your own ships anyway you want, oh your choices have meaning ect. But they really don't! A whole mess of game breaking bugs, player skills and companions skills still don't work for your ships and a lot of player skills don't work like they should, a mess of problems for outpost and so very much more problems with starfield! I played the first month of release and got 23 day's in my saved game, and I completely stopped playing starfield!!!

You may need to nuke your list. Do you have any UI mods on? If you can still load your game and play with your list then you can always wait to see if the UI issue gets fixed. I’m just not sure whether Bethesda needs to update the mod page or if it’s a Mod Author thing.

Someone else mentioned that as well but I haven't seen anything on that specifically over on the Bethesda Discord. Could be related to the Privacy Settings on your Xbox: help.bethesda.net/#en/answer/64086 The other thing to do would be to load up your game and open your Creations to see if you have any UI (User-interface) mods installed. Things that would modify menus/fonts/text. There are more getting updated to work with the new update but they are usually brand-new mods rather than an update to current ones. The last resort would be clearing your reserved space but keep in mind that that will wipe your mods. You'll want to make note of what you have before you do that.

@@ronandynan1228 uninstalling the game, unplugging the Xbox to clear the cache, and steering clear of bad UI mods is the best info. I have. You can also try logging into your Bethesda account online and clearing your library of mods. You can ask around the Bethesda Discord but I haven’t seen anything as to why that would happen after a certain amount of time. I would recommend contacting Bethesda support if you’re still having issues after.

I'm on Xbox Series X and I can access the Creations menu but I can't access at my load order, search anything up, or buy credits (if ever wanted to) for some reason The only buttons that seem to work are A and B, I know its not my controller because all the buttons work for my other games and all that

As shown in the video at 2:35, that can be due to UI mods being installed. Apparently it can also happen if they’re in your Library, so if you’ve used one before. There’s a link in the description that goes through removing it from the Library. But if you have one installed, you can try disabling everything like I showed but otherwise, you’ll have to clear reserved space and start over.

I'm having a problem that when I access creation club, none of the buttons work I can't select mods or exit, I can only move around with the analog stick and my control works normally when I'm playing, I have Skyrim special edition

UI mods were the culprit for that. So, if you have any in your list (that includes any that might modify controls) then that can keep you from doing anything. There are updated version of a lot of these mods now. You can try uninstalling the game and doing a hard reset to clear the cache. Then you can reinstall. You will lose your mods though, so you'll want to make sure you know what you have before you do that so you can reinstall. The Bethesda Help site is down at the moment but if you still can't access the Creations page after then you probably would want to reach out to Bethesda Support.

It's got to do with older mods and the game reloading when you back out of Creations. I gave a workaround in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bGbUXqekiteema8 You can also try moving mods to the proper spot, backing out so the game reloads, then hop back in and move some more.

You might need to do a fresh install after deleting the game and doing a hard reset on the Xbox. If you have any UI mods installed then that’s what caused it. When you reinstall, if you were using a UI mod then you’ll need an updated version to work. Made a video on that.

You can’t. The mod menu can always crash. Sometimes it can be more frequent if the servers are busy. I don’t think mods rearranging in your list has been addressed yet in a patch. Best advice would be to do little bits at a time, back out your the main menu, then pop back into the mod menu. That way, if mods rearrange themselves, it’s easier to put em back.

Some mods got updated but all the mods before the Creations update will still be there. The mods that were removed after the update had compatibility issues or needed to be made into new mods (like menu/UI) mods. Free mods will always be there, there’s just a new option for Verified Creators to charge for a mod if they want.

It’s a modder’s resource (Simple Workaround Fix) that makes things easier when porting mods to XBOX. In the case of the Creations update, some UI mods now have alternate SWF versions so they can work, like Nordic UI. I suppose if there are older mods that can use it then you might see an SWF version but I haven’t seen many.

Question for anyone who can answer. My in game menu does not save any changes, for example I open the in game menu and my difficulty is stuck on novice, I change difficulty, save and close and reopen and it stays on novice. Same thing for the rest of the game settings. Is this due to a UI mod issue and the new update? I’m willing to delete all my mods and restart bc playing on novice is no fun at lvl 50+

If there is anything in your list that changes a menu or UI element then that can cause issues but generally, difficulty should stick. I know that some sound mods will have extra settings that usually reset but that's a limitation of the game and those add options. Is the difficulty changed when you actually play or still Novice-like? Could be a visual bug. I saw some Reddit threads on this but couldn't find an answer.

I do have a main menu replacer and Nordic font installed. Gameplay feels like novice but is very hard to tell. I tried to disable these mods to see if I am able to save my difficulty changes but it will not allow me to disable at all. May just have to clear reserve space

They were always kind of merged on the site but still labeled accordingly. On console, the merge is Creation Club content, paid mods (the few that there are) and the mods like you knew them before so everything is accessible in the Creations menu. Mods can be ported from PC but it’s not like you’ll be able to download a PC-only mod on Xbox. A mod author has to port it to console.

There's over 30,000 mods for Skyrim on Xbox and the vast majority are free and will continue to be. A free mod cannot be turned into a paid one. Paid mods are a very small part. Nolvus is not on Xbox.

I play on Xbox and the creation page wouldn’t load so I did what this video suggested and got rid of the reserved data but when I was re-downloading my mods the game crashed and now it has gone back to trying to download the old menu. Does this mean until they fix it I can’t use a UI or is my game broke?

If you used a UI mod then there are some getting updates to work with the new mod menu. I made a video on a few and linked a Bethesda Discord server link with some more safe mods to use. I'll put that in the description of this video as well.

You might have some ghost space. I had about 1gb worth when I made my latest list. I ended up recording what I had with my phone and then uninstalled. Then I did a hard reset on the XBOX and reinstalled. That seemed to do the trick.

I have a problem. I hope maybe someone can help. Since this new shit update my load order is constantly re ordering itself. I can’t organize my load order properly. And as long as I don’t have a solution for that I can’t play this game

What's worked for me is moving a couple of the mods back into place that moved, backing out to the main menu, and then going back in to make sure nothing has changed. Repeating that with each mod that moved on you.

The new creation is horrible. I cant even use mods because it crashes and i press Y and it wont open my load order and if it crashes worse i cant even search for mods. I dumped my list over 10 times and spent hours still wont work 😢

The update is more stable now so I would probably recommend uninstalling the game, hard resetting the console, and reinstalling the game. Make sure you aren't downloading any UI mods that have not been updated (they are marked) as that will continue to cause issues. If you are still having trouble then opening a support ticket with Bethesda might be a good idea.

Playing with mods is never stable, unfortunately. It says it every time you load up the mod menu. There’s ways to salvage things and to keep track of lists but unless it’s baked into the game, there’s always a risk. Hopefully you can salvage a save. No point in throwing shade. I doubt they’d see it here 👍

Broken on ps5 it crashes the game all the time

I saw a lot of reports with crashing on PS5 after the downtime ended via the Bethesda Discord. You can try going through your library on your phone or computer to remove any UI mods as those are causing issues if you try to load into the Creations menu; sometimes even if you don't have any installed. Not sure if any are even allowed on Playstation but worth checking (basically any mod that has to do with a menu/font). If you crash on startup then a fresh install could help but that's not a guarantee. If you can load into your game first, and open Creations from there, you can at least look at your list before you do that cause a fresh install would wipe mods. If you're still crashing in a few days then you can submit a Support ticket to Bethesda. Hopefully, that is somewhat helpful. I only have an Xbox but I know modding is a bit different over there on PlayStation.

The game is still the same 🤷‍♂ Just a new mod menu. Paid mods if you want but there's only a handful; still a metric ton of free mods. UI mods are starting to get updates to work with the new mod menu.
