ABOUT KEVIN CHAPMAN
I'm a 38 year old KZbinr from the UK. I've got a cracking beard and I'm currently going through the autism diagnosis process. I started this channel back in 2017 and by the time I left my full-time job as a Computer Science teacher in July of that year, my partner Anna was trapped in our house by our son Andy, who is autistic and had refused to go to school for 18 months. Our daughters Lucy and Amy and our dog Dave hardly saw me because I was always working to try and solve all our problems! Today I'm a full-time content creator and always at home when the kids get home from school (all our kids!) and Anna has been able to return to university. This channel is the story of my ongoing journey! Previously known as lollujo Vlogs and The Chapman Family.

I’m sure Anna has in mind what kind of content she wants to make but if she’s interested I have a bit of a suggestion. True crime is really popping off on KZbin. I think getting some video essay style videos on true crime events from her forensics perspective could be really interesting. I also think it’s heavily clickbaitable. “Forensics Expert reacts to So and So Crime”

Don't worry about future jobs Anna. You have proof that you are willing to work, willing to learn and willing to apply yourself to whatever you need to do. The job wasn't right for you and your family and so you made the decision that best helped you, your partner and your kids. So many people make these decisions with far less of a serious reason and those decisions are respected. Another time of life, a different prison, different hours, who knows what would of happened and if it would of been better or worse. You applied yourself and spent months trying to work around the struggles you were all having despite it not being your dream job and it was just far too high risk for everyone with not so great a reward. You kept at it and you showed that you will try everything to make it work because your working life is important to you. The time you spent working there and your time away from work will undoubtably of shaped your future and i believe it will only be positive. Welcome to the channel full time Anna and whilst i so look forward to seeing what you guys get up to in the coming months, you guys finding your happy medium, your safety, your security, your calm, your neutral and your future progression is what truly matters. The job you did and how hard you fought for it will never go amiss and now it's time for you to whip our Kevin into shape and smash this next part of your life as a family who are content and together!!

Word of advice, when everything reopens, if anna is still looking at a forensics role, try Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, and Cambridgeshire constabularies. They hire quite frequently because they have quite a few budget issues and I believe they are near to you.

Congratulations on your decision Anna, sorry to hear the job wasnt for you but at least you gave it a shot. I had huge gaps on my CV thanks to prioritising the needs of my family - especially those of my autistic son. Now hes living independently, and my other kids have grown (I was a single mum to 5) I'm back working in the industry I actually started in at the age of 10, I'm a violinist who never stopped playing I just stopped getting paid. The years fly by and if the universe brings you new possibilities in the future, just like it is now, you'll find yourself in the right place at the right time with no major upheavals or stress. I, for one, welcome our new Anna Overlord! In a more serious note, I used to work a job in training for a hosital/med school that had me routinely visiting prisons to do training for their medical staff. It was the most stressful days of my entire professional career. Anna, I don't blame you one single bit for stepping away from that job. There's a sign on the visitor/staff gates at Montford Unit in west Texas that says "No Hostages will leave this facility" which puts your net worth in that industry in perspective very, very quickly.

completely understandable, my dad used to work in the force and I never saw him he was at work when i was asleep and asleep when I was awake, the lack of sun from working nights caused him to have a seasonal affected disorder which led him to on occasions be aggressive. it has taken him years to leave it all behind him but now myself and my brother are in our 20's. when you have family live outside of a career like this its hard. not to mention as you said yourself dangerous. good on you for putting your family first.

Smart move 👌 i worked 12hrs for 23 years and long shifts are no good . My son is autistic and deaf and it messed his routines up , and put to much pressure on my partner. Ive been on gardening leave since November and start a new day job on Tuesday. Everything is much better now , routine no melt downs no messing about going school in fact he doing well with school now and flourished during 2nd lockdown with me home schooling. It's good to see you both smiling again. It sounds like you made the right decision for this moment in time. You both need to do what's right for you and your family. Let's hope that there's no reason for us to go back into full lockdown again.. I'm extremely clinically vulnerable. I've been sheilding since before the 1st lockdown last March. I caught Covid off one of my carers at the beginning of this year. So im waiting for my 2nd jab now. I'm battling against Long Covid now to. Since last March I've only left my house 2 times.
