I was a Jones defender until last year when Devin Witherspoon of the Seahawks openly told reporters they know he always locks onto his first read. Even with decent Oline play he can't do much of anything, he can't make accurate throws, and he's setting all kinds of dubious records. Not to mention that team looked better (not great, but better) last season when Taylor and DeVito were under center. DJ is cooked and the team needs a new QB.

Actually tyrod Taylor can't start. In the past he seemed to always be in the right team and spot to start but he kept getting bizarre injuries. He could and has played overall well as a fill in and won gamers here and there for each team. He just kept getting injured everytime he started to roll.

If you want a reset, why not go back to when Macadoo wanted to draft Mahomes and move on from Manning in 2017? The Giants completely botched the Manning transition. That's what is at the root of all this IMO. Didn't do that, then fired Mac when he finally benched Manning anyway in an act of professional suicide, then reached for Jones when you realized belatedly thast Macadoo has been the only sane person in the organization a year earlier. Giants Mahomes would have been a different player than Chiefs Mahomes, obviously. Maybe not three Super Bowl wins and four appearances. But maybe one ring and two appearances? I know he would have been good wherever he went. If I was a Giants fan, this would be where I reset. It was a massive blunder. Not the only one for sure, but probably the biggest one. As a fan of a rival team I have never been more relieved than when the Giants scapegoated Macadoo. I was afraid of him. I haven't been afraid of anyone in blue since. There's nothing to fear because they are all incompetent knuckleheads.

GIants fan here. I think Schoen had a great 2024 draft that cools his seat down a little and he legitimately did fix the offensive line who has been great outside of the eagles game. Daboll is clearly a great coach especially when you consider how well tyrod and devito played last year. the truth is, there were 2 qbs last year that played significantly better than Jones is right now and its obvious how much the team is held back by him. As far as Saquon goes, I think not paying him was the right move in the long run but they should have traded him last season before the deadline. I truly think they're a good qb away from winning games and playing watchable football. NFC East is looking pretty weak right now and I think if they had someone competent under center then they could have contended for the division. Ugly football all around outside of Washington right now.

Mara family culture is conservative. Meaning they like player that looks like sunshine boys, but despise players that are too "ghetto". This is why despite OBJ being a generational talent, the Giants treated him like just another player. But they are perfectly happy to give sunshine boy-type players ridiculously high salary. Daniel Jones is just the latest case in point as everyone knows his contract is ridiculous, and no one is bidding against them either. Giants will never be a great team with the Mara family. If you wondered how the Giants were great in the past, it's because it was co-owned by Tisch family, who actually knows how to evaluate talent. But ever since Mara bought them out, Giants have bee a joke.
